food was so mid, the tacos lacked so much flavor, were extremely dry, and barely had any meat. we started with chips and salsa and i must say that that was the worst and when i say worst.. i mean WORST chips and salsa i have ever tasted. the chips were so stale, some had too much salt, some didnt have any at all, and step into any one of your local supermarkets and you can find better salsa. this salsa tastes like lemon, sugar, and a hint of hot sauce. the “chicken” tacos had a max of 5 pieces of meat in them and the rest was just pico and lettuce, plus the ingredient ratio to tortilla ratio was way off.. there were two very thick pieces of tortilla and it made it even more unenjoyable and dry than it already was. we were charged over $15 for 3 birria tacos and a small cup of consume, the tacos were so dry, lacked so much flavor that a birria tacos should be packing and is wayy overpriced.. i would understand if it was actually good, for a sit down resturant this is unacceptable. you could go to any food truck in the radius and find wayy better tacos for wayy cheaper. we were also asked if we wanted water, and correct me if im wrong but a sit down resturant usually has free water.. but no, they charged us over $7 for 4 bottles of water. the tacos were so bad some of us could only eat one before our stomachs started aching. this is honestly the worst tacos ive ever had, and usually i love me a taco but im going to stop eating tacos after this. i would not recommend to anybody but my worst enemies.. btw do not sit next to...
Read moreI ordered takeout from this restaurant through Uber Eats, where it's selected as a Top Pick spot, but unless the restaurant was having an off day on the day I ordered, this is far from being a top Mexican food joint.
The South American burrito was gigantic, sure, but it lacked any semblance of flavor. Nothing tasted fresh and it was bland all the way through. I couldn't finish it. I had about a third of the burrito left over and decided to throw it away, much as I hate wasting food, it was difficult to stomach. A entire burrito of indistinguishable mushy beans and rice and hard meat. Yuck. 1/5
The Mighty Jeff Rosas was a little better. It was still bland but in a bowl form, it made it easier to eat with less mess. The portion size is still big, but I was able to finish eating the entire dish. Again, it lacked umami and didn't taste of fresh ingredients. Complete absence of that bright zing and pop in your mouth that real Mexican food brings. 2.5/5
The best thing I had from here is the horchata. It was enormous and very tasty. I liked the cinnamon notes that were evenly spread throughout the rice milk. It didn't get too grainy near the bottom like some poorly made horchatas do. 4/5
I doubt I'll order from here again. There's so many Mexican restaurants all over town, and this one is definitely mediocre. It says "Health" in the name, which may be true, seeing as there's not even a lick of salt on any of their menu items, but in exchange, you get sad-tasting burritos. Is it worth...
Read moreWe came here because of the high rating, but we were extremely disappointed. To start, the chips were very stale, and the salsa was nasty; completely inedible. The salsa was sweet and had a disgusting sour flavor. Tasted like a sweet pickle soaked in ketchup. The Horchata was homemade, and had a good authentic flavor. We got the Burrito with Birria (shredded beef). The beef itself had little to no flavor, and was dry. Overall, the burrito tasted decent but of subpar quality compared to “good” Mexican food. The only reason that made it two stars was because of the homemade sauces the food is served with. The red being a classic Salsa Picante (red hot sauce). The green being a pleasant cilantro lime sauce. The food was in desperate need of the sauces. If the food tasted even close to as good as the sauces, it’d probably be closer to 4 stars even with the stale chips and fermented trash salsa. I have NO IDEA how this place has such great reviews. My advice: find a taco...
