Whatās not to love?
Even though there are a lot of coffee shops in the area, this one stands out for a number of reasons. The shop is HUGE, aesthetically pleasing, and quiet. There are lots of places to sit, including comfy couches and chairs, a large communal table, or traditional tables and chairs. There are plenty of outlets available to charge laptops, phones, etc. This is a GREAT space to get work done, or just relax. Whoever designed the space paid attention to all the details and united function and aesthetics well.
The coffee is amazing. It's locally roasted and fresh. They have tea options, including two kinds of matcha, if coffee is not your thing.
Another thing that stands out is their food. While they have your typical coffee shop baked bites, their croissants are baked fresh in the shop every day. So far, I've tried both their bread pudding and their BEC signature potpies, as they seemed like shop specialties that you can't get just anywhere. The bread pudding is made from their leftover croissants (yes, you read that right) and melts in your mouth. Sustainability never tasted so good. The pot pie is HUGE, so I split it with a friend. It was nice to have something with a lot of protein in it to get me through my emails; but it was so good it still felt like a treat. I'd definitely come back for these. They convince me that their high standards are likely to extend to the other food items.
There is also studio and podcasting space that you can rent in the back room. Ask a barista about it, and they'll give you a tour. Plus, the baristas...

All that being said, really amazing coffee shop. I got the espresso tonic which also had an orange bitter garnish on top. The drink was excellent, a nice balance of bitter acidity and sweetness from the tonic. Awesome vibes, great staff and service. You can come here during the day or weekend to get some work done too or just hang out. The pastries was also...
