My first time visiting a Coffee Project and I loved it. As an Aussie I was stoked to find that they have lamingtons, and great ones at that. The coffee was one of the best I've had in NYC, definitely up to the standard I'm used to back in Sydney. I was very happy that the flat white I ordered was an actual flat white - served in a ceramic mug, about the size of a cappuccino but with a very thin layer of foam. In the US, it seems flat whites are often very small and served in glasses (ouch, hot), which I think I can safely say is incorrect since the flat white was invented in Australia.

I opted for a pour-over and the name escapes me—but it was one of the most fascinating coffees I’ve ever tasted. It had a lovely melon flavor with a natural sweetness that was simply phenomenal. I also tried their mushroom croissant, which was delicious! I think it would have been a perfect 10/10 if it had been served warm, but I’d still happily order it again.
