Read moreI had a truly unique experience at Enso’s Omakase room, which accommodates around 10 people. A large party canceled just before my reservation, leaving me with the opportunity to dine alone and enjoy a more intimate setting with the three talented chefs: Nick Wang, Takeshi Sato, and a younger new chef who had already brought creative and delicious new ideas to the menu within just a month of joining their team.
The ambiance of the Omakase room is stunning, designed to transport you to a luxurious dining experience reminiscent of Japan. Each course was not only beautifully presented but also truly incredible in taste and quality. The chefs showcased the freshest ingredients, and every bite was a delightful exploration of flavors.
Additionally, I had the pleasure of enjoying a sake pairing recommended by General Manager Byron Agila. The sake complemented the entire meal perfectly, enhancing the flavors of each course and elevating the overall dining experience.
The chefs were incredibly kind, sharing fascinating stories and insights about the fish, explaining how flavors can vary based on the season and the fish’s diet. Typically, I visit Omakase restaurants to not talk too much and observe masters at work and enjoy whatever they recommend. But being alone in the room allowed for meaningful conversation, and I learned so much about their passion for the craft.
Overall, my experience at Enso was nothing short of incredible. Having dined many Omakase restaurants in NYC, I can confidently say this one will be unforgettable. I’ll...
Read moreWe ate here last night for a birthday dinner and had been wanting to try omakase in Williamsburg for a long time. We were both blown away by the amazing quality of service and food provided at Enso. Chef/Owner Nick is very passionate about his style of cooking and it is reflected at Enso in everything down to the small details in each room.
We felt as if we had entered a different world with the relaxed ambiance at the bar, knowledgeable bartenders who informed us about the differences in Japanese whiskey, and the full dinner experience after entering the private omakase room. Both chefs took the time to explain each dish during the 16 course omakase and were very open to answering questions about the dishes.
We tried various seasonal dishes including tuna, eel, fish roe, and even monkfish liver which was cooked and presented beautifully.
Would highly recommend Enso to anyone who loves Japanese food or anyone who is looking to learn more as Chef Nick has created a truly delightful experience that anyone can enjoy. We will definitely be back soon and best of luck at the...
