This is our go-to place for lunch! Safe to say that one of the reasons is that it's convenient because it's right in our building, but what really makes you want to come back is the staff and in particular the branch manager ... and this review is really for her, since the food speaks for itself - you either like it or you don't. She is always willing and able to help and attentive to customer's requests and needs. Pre-COVID this location was bustling and hopping. While there were a lot of staff members working she was always present, making sure service was efficient and personable, leading by example, always ready to step in to help her staff and keep all of us moving along.
Since the COVID-19 restrictions have been gradually lifted and the location was allowed to reopen, the manager has stepped up in every aspect ... from cook, to cashier, to cleaning person ... she has does it all! Fortunately she now has more help (though missing some regular familiar faces in the staff), but there is still a lot of work that she never backs down from. I ordered my go-to choose-your-own topping salad and went to register and to find out that there is no chopping station (side note: no shopping station, what the f?!) and read the total amount of for my salad.. $2.50-$3 more than I pay at other salad places. Adding insult to injury, the salad was a dud. Their balsamic vinaigrette was weak and the veggies weren't particularly the freshest. There's dozens of salads places a few blocks south of this joint. Thats where I'll be going for...
