The thermostat set way too high, and the server incorrectly answered a basic menu question. "Do you offer maple syrup" to which she pointed to items on the menu, all of which were pancake toppings,none were maple syrup.

After reviewing their Google profile and seeing maple syrup I asked again to hear "yes all pancakes come with maple syrup"

This is unacceptable customer service, no attempt to fix the situation was made.

Edit: "Secondly the server thought you were asking about toppings as all pancakes are always served with maple syrup so anyone would be slightly confused on a question like that. She did apologize and offer to get you the pancakes but you said no l'll order something else. I am also confused as to what the bad review is about as in the same moment while speaking to her she clarified to answer your question correctly"

You're confused because your employee is lying. Once again I asked about maple syrup and she pointed to toppings never mentioning it comes with all syrup. Moments later AFTER looking at your restaurant photos I asked AGAIN about maple syrup AFTER I've already ordered because she did NOT mention it was available. She did not apologize and offer pancakes she offered a side of maple syrup. That fact that you believe that lie is ridiculous. I had a fantastic experience at this cafe/restaurant! The food was absolutely delicious, and the lunch special was an incredible deal. At first, I wasn’t sure what to order, but the kind and helpful waitress introduced me to their lunch special, which allowed me to try three different dishes for just $16. It was a great way to sample a variety of flavors. She also mentioned that if the portions were too much, I could take the leftovers to go—such a thoughtful option!

Beyond the food, the atmosphere was calm and welcoming, making it a great place to relax and enjoy a meal. The staff were all friendly and had warm smiles that truly added to the experience. The two stars are only for the guys in the kitchen, who deserve five stars for the patience and efficiency. The service is horrendous, it is clear that the stuff is not trained for the job, but they do the best with what they have. The problem is clearly the manager on duty. They forget things, don’t know what’s in their own menu, and when the plates are ready and waiting in the kitchen, they don’t serve them. Everybody is running around, and nobody is managing the floor. We ordered 4 plates and 4 drinks, and we got 3 plates and 1 drink. We had to wait for at least half and hour (after reminding them multiple times about what was missing), and still got charged one of the drinks that never came....
