This has to be the best food I’ve had in a while. Handsome Rice is serving up modern Korean comfort food and it’s really good.
I ordered the Handsome rice meal and Kim chi Mac and cheese. You get all Korean meats with this meal (Chicken, Short Rib, Rib Eye, And Pork) stacked on Korean purple rice with a salad on the side. My favorite meat had to be the rib eye. It was my first time trying purple rice and it was a really good base for this dish. The potatoes in the salad were so good. Covered in a pesto sauce and adding that refreshing taste.I love how the portions are just right and you get a healthy balance of protein, carbs, and veggies.
Then the Kim chi mac and cheese was no joke. It wasn’t like your average mac and cheese. I love how they mixed Kim chi within the noodles. Korean fusion executed well.
They’re a small shop but I love the aesthetic. Small inside then outside dining. This would be the perfect spot to eat in the spring summer.
Service is on point. Shout out to the staff at...

My husband and I just can’t get enough of this place. Honestly, in Manhattan you won’t find a lunchbox this packed with delicious meat for the price — only Handsome has it! It totally brings back memories of the dosirak I used to have back in Korea. With bulgogi, spicy pork, galbi, and chicken all in one box, it’s a dream come true for meat lovers like us🐽🐽🐽

After trying their catering several times, I can confidently say this place is amazing.
My top picks are the handsome rice, creamy kimchi pasta, and the signature handsome burger. Among them, the handsome rice stands out — a perfect platter that brings together a variety of flavors in one dish.
The signature handsome burger reminds me of the Korean-style burgers I used to have back in Korea — nostalgic and incredibly crave-worthy.

Read moreNice looking food with no seasoning. (It looks exactly like they show on the website so the attention to detail is there). I was really disappointed with my meal. I expected a flavor bomb but everything was begging for more seasoning. I ordered the Galbi - Boneless Beef Korean BBQ and it desperately needed salt and some spice. The rice was nice looking but tasted boring. Same goes for the vegetables - they looked interesting but needed more flavor. The Kale side salad was crying for some acid. The pickled beets were good but the pickled cabbage tasted like someone left it in vinegar for 5 minutes. You can hardly call them pickled. The only saving grace was the KimChi side - overpriced IMO at $3 for scantilly filled 4oz cup. I'll be taking my money elsewhere next time I want...
