We waited at the bar on a Friday night for a table to become available. When the time ran over from what they told us they apologized and brought us complimentary garlic bread. A very nice customer service touch. I didn't partake in any cocktails or beer but, they had a great selection and the bartender was quick.
The ambiance reminded me of an old school Italian restaurant with bistro tables and chairs but, with upgraded and modern touches. Our table was at the front and the person on the bit end was a little wobbly because of the floor being on an incline. Be careful when moving your chair if you are sitting here.
The portion sizes of the salads are big enough to share between two people and the pizzas are easily shared between 3 or 4 people (16 inch pie). We decided to share a ceaser salad and as a table we ordered the shroomtown pizza and the salsiccia dolce.
The ceaser salad was a classic take with just parmesan cheese, croutons, romaine and dressing. The flavors were simple and straight to the point. The shroomtown pizza covered in three different types of mushrooms and drizzled with white truffle oil was a cheesy dream. Somehow the delicate seasoning of the sauce, white truffle oil and all the other ingredients each stood out and not one ingredient overpowered another. The salsiccia dole pizza also had a hearty amount of ingredients topping it; italian sausage, caramelized onions and fresh basil. I can't say I have every had caramelized onions on a pizza but, I am a huge fan of this now and especially with the fresh basil. I was surprised the pizza wasn't watery from the cooked onions but, apparently they know how to drain toppings properly before placing them atop the pizza! I know it sounds like a given but, this happens to me all the time at other pizza places. The thin crust was crispy with the little burnt bits on the bottom of the outer edges which is just the way I like it.

Read moreCame here on a Friday night for dinner and it was decently packed. They have a good amount of seating inside although a bit cramped from what I saw. They have the side of the street for outdoor seating which is pretty nice. If it weren't for the humid weather, it would've been a great night to be sitting outside. I have to say their outdoor seating area is one of the better ones I've seen for the city.
I have a stronger preference for thin crust than thicker crust pizza so I was excited to try their pizzas here. Everything else seemed pretty reasonably priced too. For food we got the bruschetta, quinoa and avocado salad, and chickpotle pizza (personal size). The bruschetta was alright. Nothing to special but had a decent amount of tomatoes on top. Not too much flavor though. The salad was huge so it was perfect for 2 (perhaps perfect to split for up to a party of 4). There was too much cheese for my liking, but the flavor was good and really enjoyed the huge slices of avocado that were on the perimeter of the plate. The chickpotle pizza was pretty good. I would say it's a bit pricey for a personal pie and it was kinda small as well. Curious to see how big their large size is for double the price.
Not pictured here, we also got the lemonade which came unsweetened but they give you a bottle of simple syrup on the side so you can make it to your preferred sweetness. Pretty great since lemonade can sometimes be too sweet or too sour so you can make it how you like. And you can definitely tell it's not store-bought since you end up making it yourself.
All in all, it's a pretty decent pizza place and service was really quick. The outdoor seating was really nice. Would definitely come back if I am ever in...
