Love, Love this place! On a recent visit to Flushing, my wife and I took our friends there for Chongqing Spicy Fish and we were not disappointed!

We had a great experience in their Edison, NJ location in 2022, and this one was also excellent.

We ordered the spicy fish - we chose firm because we did not want fish to disintegrate too much - with tofu, asparagus lettuce, lotus roots, etc. as vegetables , and got a cucumber w/ soy sauce app & a sharable drink of Kumquat Lemon Iced Tea, all on their handy tablet.

We were busy enjoying their signature dried nuts and the cucumber arrived quickly. It's slightly spicy but also crunchy and sweet - a refreshing way to get your mouth watering. Fish came pretty quickly and we did not have to wait long to dig in. Our "firm" fish was flaky and nicely held together while delivering full might of Chongqing spicy sauce in every bite. Four of us had plenty to eat, along with all the veggies. I especially recommend the asparagus lettuce which gives you crunch, right amount of sauce-absorption ratio, and bite feel, and the Fuzhu, the dried beancurd that acts as sauce retainer.

While there is heat and numbing effect from the chili and the peppercorns, it was not too spicy to eat, even for our one Caucasian companion (but, he's married to Chinese woman and pretty trained in spice) and the kumquat iced tea definitely helps cleanse/cool your palate as needed!

They also bring you this milky grass jelly drink for dessert, which my friend absolutely loved, and we finished our meal with bellies content & full.

You can't go wrong with Hot Space spicy fish - take your village there! Highly...

Finally got to try this place after hearing about it from my coworker a few years ago, it's surprisingly good. Highly recommended to give it a try if you haven't been (coming from a flushing local)! Food was very flavorful and not too pricey if you share with a group. Right now there's a promotion if you spend $120 they'll give you a free 1.5L sparkling soda for the table. If you pay with cash, they'll also give you a 5% discount.

In terms of food, my friends and I ordered Barramundi西曹 (fish base at $56) with 2 flavors 鴛鴦鍋 (+$10), splitting it by Spicy Tofu Pudding Flavor 麻辣豆花味 and Garlic Flavor 蒜香味 (Non-Spicy). We also made it a combo with 4 additional add-ons (+$11) including Black Fungus 木耳, Lotus Root 蓮藕, Mung Bean Noodle 綠豆寬粉, and Kelp 海帶. For sides we got grilled chicken wings 烤中翅 (cumin flavored), that comes with 5 pieces, roasted squid 串烤魷魚 that was a bit spicy but good flavor, shredded potato with hot oil 涼拌土豆絲 and sliced beef and ox tongue in chili sauce 夫妻肺片. Everything came out really good and we were all so full by the end of the meal (group of 4). They also gave us some grass jelly with milk as free dessert to finish up, so that was great.

Overall it was good experience, staff was friendly and checks back regularly. I'd say it's a pretty popular spot, saw a bunch of people waiting when we left around 7pm, come early to beat the crowd. I'd come again next time and see if I'll bump it...

My first impression of this Hot Space restaurant is their staff is very friendly and willing to answer your questions. For a first time visitor, that's definitely helpful.

When we ordered the food, the waitress patiently explained what are the menu and what are the dishes they are known for. She even suggested the spiciness, and warned us the extra ingredients might ruined the perfect flavor.

The restaurant prepared the food in the kitchen to maybe 95% done, and then sent the grilled fish in a tray on a stove to our table. The server told us to wait a few minutes for the flavor to fully sink in.

We got the strip bass with the golden combination. The fish was grilled just right. The skin was crispy and easily separated from the meat. The meat was at an excellent tenderness. Under the fish were the golden combination ingredients we ordered. They added ample spices to create the flavor and sauce to dip the fish into.

After the meal, we overheard that the restaurant doesn't do takeout. I think they want their diners to enjoy their dishes at the best quality. Takeout orders simply...
