I recently had the pleasure of dining at this restaurant , and it was an experience to remember! From the moment we walked in, the warm and inviting atmosphere set the tone for a delightful evening.
Pasta Delight: We started with the vegetarian Pasta, and it was simply divine. The pasta was cooked to perfection, with a delightful al dente texture. The sauce was a harmonious blend of fresh tomatoes, basil, and garlic, topped with just the right amount of Parmesan cheese. Each bite was a burst of authentic Italian flavors that transported us straight to Italy.
Perfect Pizza: Next, we indulged in the Margherita pizza, and it did not disappoint. The crust was thin and crispy, with a slight chewiness that made it irresistible. The fresh mozzarella melted beautifully over the rich tomato sauce, and the basil added a fragrant touch that elevated the entire dish. It was a classic Margherita done right, and we savored every slice.
Ambiance and Service: The ambiance at Trattoria is cozy and charming, with soft lighting and rustic decor that makes you feel right at home. The staff were attentive and friendly, ensuring that our dining experience was nothing short of excellent. They were knowledgeable about the menu and offered great recommendations.
Overall Experience: This is a gem of an Italian restaurant that I would highly recommend to anyone looking for an authentic and delicious Italian meal. Whether you're a fan of pasta, pizza, or both, this place has something to satisfy your cravings. I can't wait to return and try more of their...
Read moreWe were in NYC today and got to eat at IT Italian Trattoria on 7th Avenue, and it was a wonderful dining experience from start to finish. The atmosphere felt warm and welcoming, with just the right balance of modern New York energy and traditional Italian charm. Our server, Samantha, went above and beyond—she was friendly, attentive, and made us feel like family. Her genuine care elevated the entire meal and set the tone for a memorable evening.
For my main course, I ordered the lasagna, and it was easily one of the best I’ve had in the city. The layers were perfectly balanced—tender pasta sheets, rich and flavorful meat sauce, creamy béchamel, and just the right amount of melted cheese on top. My son ordered a classic pasta dish, and he loved it as well; the pasta was cooked perfectly al dente, and the sauce was fresh, flavorful, and clearly made from high-quality ingredients. We finished the meal with dessert, and it truly was to die for—decadent, beautifully presented, and the perfect sweet ending.
Overall, IT Italian Trattoria exceeded our expectations. It’s not just a place to grab a bite—it’s the kind of restaurant where you can sit back, enjoy a true taste of Italy, and feel taken care of. With excellent food, warm service, and Samantha’s outstanding hospitality, this restaurant stands out as a gem on 7th Avenue. I would absolutely recommend it to anyone looking for authentic Italian cuisine in New York City, and I look forward to returning to try more...
Read moreCame here several times when they first open for lunch with co workers - was very good I would recommend - came today. And it was disappointing. The pizza barely has any topping all corner pieces so not much on it and very very oily the two pieces is $9 and desert used to be 7.95 is $8.95 they raised the prices in everything. The dessert is usually my favorite and the best part but The strawberries were not fresh semi bad and the crème around it when you take out strawberries was not good. The crème in general was not good had a taste of being in fridge for a long time. I would say very disappointing. I don’t mind paying for good food but the quality does feel like is changing. Often time places start of so good and just slowly start declining. The food was ok at best today. Was much better when they originally opened. The freshness of ingredients is not the same. I was a very very big supporter of the place and recommended it to everyone at work. Was disappointing.
After asking the person at the front he assured me that’s it’s fresh - and that soggy wilted strawberries with a sour smell is also somehow fresh. And stood behind assuring me it’s not even though you can smell and see it. Which seems even worst.
After that it just ruined the whole...
