L Stop Gourmet Deli — Restaurant in New York

I went here before and received great service and a fresh sandwich. But this time I ordered the same sandwich, and was told to wait a bit. I assumed cause there was another customer behind me. I’m waiting around occasionally looking at the front to see my sandwich not being made. So then I stand a few inches away from the register cause I’m trying to figure out what’s going on and was about to ask for my money back. The guy (owner/I’m not sure) looks at me not really trying to make eye contact. But he seems to be texting like he’s waiting for something. Then all of a sudden someone comes in the back door and hands the guy a brown bag.I’m thinking he didn’t have an ingredient I asked for and maybe had someone make a run to the store. I then figured “ok, now my sandwich will be made!”Then miraculously I was given my sandwich, which WAS NOT made in the store.

I want to try and give the benefit of the doubt cause he seemed understaffed. I normally don’t do reviews but I was so shocked and this is so unacceptable to do. This puts a bad taste in my mouth about the service here! F.Y.I to future customers: pay cash for your sandwich’s so you can easily get your money back if you notice...

I always order from this spot, but had never actually gone in there until yesterday. Such a great spot, and great energy. The customers are nice and the staff that works there is excellent.

Even though it is busy, Ali and his team manages to keep things mellow. I went in there yesterday, and then I had to go back this morning. This is now my favorite bodega, and I will always spend my hard earned cash at this spot when I am in the area.

Cheers to you Ali, and all of your employees. You guys go above and beyond and it shows in the quality of your food, and the excellence of your customer service. Other business owners could definitely learn from you.

I saw the cook constantly clearing his throat, trying to hold back coughing while cooking food. He doesn't wear a mask and is constantly talking over people's food while preparing them. I only go there to buy cigarettes because the sell the cheap one from Georgia. They also like to over charge people. If you check your receipt you'll see and extra few pennies on your bill, nothing big, but when you add all the people this must be happening to....it goes from pennies to dollars. I think the Attorney Genarals office should look into the prices in this location because there is definitely something going on that is not legal and I don't just mean the...
