Last night I went there with my son who has a severe dairy allergy. I asked many times whether their coconut milk option was dairy free. I explained over and over that dairy was cows milk. She insisted this was their vegan option and NO dairy. I asked her again to be sure after she made it. She confirmed again and said she encounters these food allergies all the time with customers. Sure enough he took one sip and went into anaphylactic shock. I demanded to see the coconut milk she used and it was a knock off brand with coconut milk AND milk derivatives clearly listed in the ingredients. Even after I pointed this out, she acted oblivious. I had to rush my son to the ER to administer an epi pen- it was that severe. Restaurants need to understand the ingredients they represent in their products- especially when it’s flagged at the start. BEWARE of this place if you have any concerns on ingredients and basic understanding. They are lucky my 5 year old son recognized the allergic reaction right away.
