An Issue created by an employee, bad customer service, and they expect you to suffer for their mistake.

I just walked over 20 mins with my wife & 5 months old baby to try this place out. I ordered Avocado Toast, 12 bagels, and Pound of cream cheese and they packed it up in a big brown bag. When we got home, unfortunately we were missing Pound of Cream cheese.

Really upset because we just took 1 hour of our busy schedule to try this place, and they would leave out something that simple. I called the store and they said to come back and would just give me the cream cheese. So I am suppose to take another hour of our time for their mistake? If I dont want to come back, they said they would refund just the cream cheese. Hello? I am suppose to eat all these bagels with no cream cheese now?

I even said, i don't want anything anymore and I will bring it back because I am not happy with this situation, and they said they cannot refund. I would need to speak with manager who doesn't come in for another 2 hours.

Now I wont even touch this avocado toast (will get cold) nor these 14 bagels. ($37 wasted)

wow, what a waste of morning...

I'm sure other parents knows what kind of busy schedule it is to have a new born...

Not good way of dealing with customer issue created by the employee...

I will not recommend to my friends and others... Resolved: Finally got in touch with manager and he brought the Cream cheese to my apartment himself. Thank you... I will up my star rating to 2 because of it. I still believe employee needs to be more care about customers orders, and we should not suffer because of...

Wow the guy at the counter was totally unpleasant, and that was after I introduced myself (our office is down the street, and I live in the neighborhood) and congratulated him for opening in a space that has stood empty for years and years. I ordered an Americano with steamed oat milk and 2 equals. He said equal and sugar are on the side. I asked if he could put them in for me, and he looked at me like i was speaking another language. There were 2 other people in the entire space and they were sitting at tables one eating and the other using the space as a home office. No people behind me waiting, so why was the request met with such a fuss I will never understand. After I brought him 2 equals and said I would open them and put them into the cup if he wanted...he got real pisssy, handed me the cup so i could dump in my equal. I kept it positive and thanked him. Maybe he was just having a bad day...?

FOOD/Coffee: I purchased 3 hard-boiled eggs, I tried for soft bolied or poached but both were a NO. The eggs were cooked well and peeled (3 for $5 bucks) My americano was super hot and really tasty. Fyi, the 3 roll-up garage door storefront makes for a mildly chilly...

On Friday, May 3rd, I was eating inside the store and witnessed the way the cashier treated a food delivery person, and I didn't think it was right. I heard the delivery person asking if he had a bag to place the order, and the man at the register said he didn't have the bag, but the delivery person saw some bags and said the order wasn't for him but for the customer, that he was just a delivery person. The cashier said it cost 0.15 cents and that if he wanted it, he would have to pay 0.15 cents, even though it was for the customer. I realized that these words weren't said politely to the delivery person, but rather rudely and brusquely. Perhaps this man is a good employee for the store, but I believe he should work in the kitchen, for example, where he wouldn't have contact with the public. Delivery people are also a type of customer; they may not even be consuming, but they're important for people who are at home, who are customers consuming a large volume daily in the city, which I also believe is a significant part of the store's revenue. This happened on Friday, May 3rd, at 7:45 a.m., and the cashier was a tall man. something unnecessary...

Gave We Bagel a second shot because I want to like it. I was immediately put on hold for 5 minutes to order 1 thing, where I got to listen to another person's order and how it was wrong last time they came, which should have been my sign to hang up. Instead I ordered a breaded chicken cutlet club, which is like the grilled chicken club on the menu but breaded. No big deal right? Well while I can see that the sandwich should be $10.49 based on the receipt and based on the menu, I was actually charged $16.49 with tax. It should not be a big deal to swap types of chicken. That means I was individually charged for everything, even the lettuce and tomato. Are you kidding me? Even if the bagel was out of this world (it's a little large but nothing special tasting), no bagel sandwich is worth $16.49 unless it has double chicken cutlets on it. And sorry to say this was stuffed with lettuce filler. Never going back. Like I said at the time, I can get 2 sandwiches at the diner for that price. And there's plenty of places on Vernon Blvd deserving of more business including the other bagel place only blocks away (that charges $.50 less per bagel and is tastier).

Edit: What happened to the bagels? They have a new supplier now. The change is especially bad for the egg bagels. Size (smaller), color (looks artificial), and flavor (sweeter?) is now average at best. Please bring back the old bagels so I can update my review again! Original: These are my favorite bagels in NYC. I come here every weekend and bring friends here when they’re visiting from out of town! The bagels are consistently delicious. Large, fluffy, and fresh. They always get the egg sandwiches right. I order my eggs over medium here; they’re one of the few shops I can count on to cook them perfectly. I love that they have pumpernickel everything bagels, I don’t know any other shop that has them! Their egg bagels are so rich and soft. Good classic sandwiches too! The people are friendly and service is great. Sometimes you do have to remind them to make your coffee— I just wait at the counter until they have made it. They have fresh squeezed OJ — if you’re going to splurge and get it, I recommend splitting it with a friend cause they’re very large. Can’t recommend it enough!

Best bagels! They sure make a good smear and epic bagel!! The minute you walk in you’re greeted by the mouth-watering smell of toast bagels. There’s a glass showcase for you to look at the cream cheese options and figure out which one will hit the spot! I appreciate that they have variety - savory, sweet, even a few vegan tofu cream “cheese” options which I also tried and found satisfyingly tasty! They have plenty of seating indoors, and a few tables outside on a front porch during good weather days. I like the whole wheat everything bagel, and the heavily loaded “everything” on top is always so delicious. I do love that they have sandwich options too, and fun rainbow bagels! This bagel shop has quickly become my weekend must! The Martinelli Apple Juice is also heavenly with a hot bagel! 😍
