Great pub/bar ambience--black and white photos of pubs and bars of the past, green checkered table clothes, wooden tables, chairs, walls, etc. Shared the "Guacamole and Salsa" with chips with a friend. We questioned the thin consistency of the salsa, but it as delightfully spicy and thick enough to cover the chip. The Guacamole was, also, delicious. I had the Smash Burger. Contrary to the headline of the menu, it did not include "tomato, raw onion and pickle", but the server gladly provided it when I requested it--without fuss and at no added cost. The fact that the sides (i.e. fries, onion rings, etc.) are not included was a bit of downer, but the quality and quantity of the pay-separate-for-side was well worth it especially when sharing. I had the "Onion Ring & French Fry Mix"...tasty--perfectly crispy on the outside fries and thick enough to have a soft center along with their Shoestring Onion Rings. To end the meal, I partook in their "Key Lime Pie". So good and fresh! Amazing crumbly graham cracker crust with a firm key lime custard accompanied with a dollop of fresh, not too sweet, house made whip cream. They even made a fresh pot of decaf coffee, as opposed to saying they didn't have any. Although a bit out of my price range for my usual outings, it is the Upper East Side and it is the start of the Holiday Season, so it was worth the cost for the quality and service. I would eat hear again if...
Read moreThe service was absolutely 5 stars, my server Maddy was super attentive and on top of it, there was also a man which I imagine is the owner or manager and he was also on top of everything with helping clear tables and checking on guests.
Food - I only had the wings, and they were good. Typical bar wings, crispy and a bit spicy and served with chunky blue cheese. Not anything spectacular, but definitely enjoyable.
Drinks - I started with the Frose, which I've never had. The server described it as Rose blended with ice, and that is exactly what it was. Not my thing, but I'm sure there's a crowd for it.
Next I ordered the Skinny Margarita, at $14 which is not really atypical for the city, but it was really good! Not on the sweet side, which I like, you could taste mostly lime and the tequila.
Overall, a great experience if you like a good "bar" feel even though you're not actually sitting at the bar. I will...
Read moreI went on a Monday night and sat at the bar. I wanted a quick bite and to be in and out. The server behind the bar recommended the burger over the pulled pork sandwich when I asked btw the two and it did not disappoint. The burger was legit. The raw onions were cut a bit too thick so I kept most of them off. The fries were banging. I thought $19 for a burger w no fries was a bit steep, esp for a pub. The fries were a side/additional charge but worth it.
The only real complaint I had is that the people on either side of me were regulars or worked there and both sat at the bar after being outside smoking cigarettes and it killed the meal for me. I don’t want to smell cigarettes while I’m eating. Burger was...
