#NYC 🍕 Elevate your brunch (or dinner!) game at MACCHINA in Williamsburg. Tucked inside The Bedford, you’ll find a cozy industrial vibe with wood-fired pizzas, pastas, insane cocktails, and food to die for! Macchina is open Tuesday through Sundayfor dine-in and takeout/delivery. I was craving a burrata pizza and a nice glass of wine and took the train over from Manhattan. I called ahead and made sure that I wouldn't come all the way across the river at 7PM On a Friday and then be filled up but the guy who answered was very nice and told me to come in. (Apparently you can make reservations by calling, but we walked in and had no problem.) The Macchina and The Bedford are the same place! ❗️ Go into The Bedford. Anyway, it absolutely did not disappoint! Our waiter Alberto was very nice. I'm indecisive and asked to try the wine, and he brought out two additional for me to try. I settled on the Cabernet Sauvignon which was delicious. My roommate and I split the buratta pizza which was fantastic - the best pizza I've had in New York thus far, and it came out within 10 minutes of us sitting down. The burrata is fresh and cool, and the sauce is just. The crust is thin yet crunchy like I like and we really had an amazing time. At the end we chatted with Alberto a bit and he gave us a complimentary digestivo spicy drink that was really good. 10/10 honestly and we will be back!

This is the spot that's being blasted all over social media because of their beautiful looking burrata pizza, and for good reason. Now, some people on here have mentioned that the pizza is inconsistent when it comes to how it's presented and when it comes to its taste. All valid arguments but I have to say that when it came to flavor and presentation their burrata pizza is quite delicious and beautiful to look at. But having said all that I actually think their other pizza offerings are even more solid reasons to come here. Case in point: their fennel with fig pizza outshines their burrata. And quite frankly should be getting way more love on any social media platforms than the burrata. Overall, this a solid spot for some good drinks, great pizza and a cool vibe. I've also read some reviews about the waiters here and can't say I had anywhere near the same experience. I found the staff here to be prompt, attentive and sweet. Also, this makes for a great after work spot...so make sure to get that fennel with fig after a long day at the office.

Customer service is horrible. My boyfriend and I came here on Friday for my birthday and we were not greeted in the entrance to be seated for a while so we walked towards the bar SEARCHING for someone to serve us and seat us and everyone at the bar was in LALA land looking around. I called out a waitress and asked her to seat us so she did and left- leaving no menu. The table we sat at was around these frat kids so my Boyfriend called for a waiter to move us and his first words towards my boyfriend was “You want chicken?!” .... So my boyfriend cleared his voice and asked to move our table and he did. THEN we sat there for an extra 10 minutes still without a menu. No one checked in on us either so we left and still no one checked in or cared. Keep in mind me and my boyfriend are POC. Everyone else in that restaurant were white college students being served all around. I’m VERY dissatisfied and disappointed in Macchina I was very excited to eat here after reading instagram posts. Horrible experience- but I did end up eating at a very good Thai place...
