Yes, there are plenty of amazing 🍕 places in the West Village. But some still hold the Holy Grail of Taste Bud Reminiscence of what makes you "miss NY pizza" when you leave it.
There are 2 schools of pizza... The typical NY Slice. Thin. Crispy crust slices that you fold like a taco and take a bite into a slice of heaven. Or the robustly fluffy airy crust of the Sicilian square.
I'm of Team Sicilian slices & Chicago deep dish (an atrocity to some I know) but revered by the champions of deep dish gluttony.
Made in NY Pizza is my favorite staple and a mandatory visit every visit I make to NY every few months. The sweet taste of Grandma's sauce and the sweet tomatoes they plop on each slice is just a bite of pleasantness. I am glad the lines are not 20-30 minutes long. If I was in a relationship and we had "our pizza spot" I'd hope she would like to think this is one of those places loll.
MADE IN NY for the taste bud W. You won't see it on the trendy lists of the best of the best of the best pizza in NY lists you see on "the feed". But it is to me. Can't wait...

Made in New York Pizza makes an enjoyable classic New York slice of pizza. the interior has a cool modern vibe with touches of NYC style. there are a couple of standing tables and a couple on the sidewalk as well—there’s also a covered outside shed with seats. definitely a spot that has you covered when you need a quick-bite meal, a pie to go, or late-night calories.

The space has a cool, artsy vibe and the service was excellent—friendly and efficient. What really stood out, though, was the incredible variety of slices. They have something for everyone.
My personal favorites were the Buffalo Ranch and Vodka slice—both were packed with flavor and had that perfect New York-style crust. We also tried the Ricotta on Marinara, which was rich and satisfying. But the real showstopper?
Their Grandma Pie (Upside Down). It’s a must-try! The sauce-on-top style brings out so much flavor, and the crust stays crispy and light.
They’ve been rated an 8.3 on One Bite, and I completely agree—this place is worthy of the hype. If you’re doing a pizza tour in NYC, don’t...
