I used to like this place. Came here a whole lot in my 20s and 30s. Recently I got a job in the area and have given them my business every day this week. Youād think they would appreciate customers coming in daily but tonight left a really bad taste in my mouth. I was shooting pool all night on a paid pool table that is two dollars per game and because they had an event where they were watching RuPaulās drag race two guys were set up right in the way of the left side of the pool table to collect money as people came in through the door. When I asked if they could please move so I could take my shot in pool the door people got an attitude and said that they were working and didnāt wanna be bothered to get up so that I could take my shot. Why are they charging for pool if the employees wonāt even move out of your way so you can take a shot? They acted like I was being inappropriate when they were messing with the customers money and the āproductā. Then, as if that wasnāt bad enough, the bouncer came inside and said that I needed to leave because I was hassling the door people to get up so I could take my shot. The doorman said that I was hogging the pool table and I explained to him that when you continue to win, you get to stay on the pool table. It is not called hogging the pool table. It is called winning. Iām just really turned off by the whole experience. I really wish it didnāt feel like gay men hate gay women, but thatās what it actually feels like when you go to Metropolitan. Im really...

We didn't wave in a rude way we were actually laughing cause honestly it didn't really matter we were just trying to get his attention. He came and waved backed in our faces in a rude way and said "Don't do that." I noticed he was upset and asked "is everything okay?" He responded by just walking away. Told another bartender to take care of us. I asked the other bartender "why he got upset?" He said "we just don't like when people wave" I said "well we weren't trying to be rude so there was no reason for this individual to speak to us like that" I asked for my card and left and left a nice note to the bartender. I don't understand what's the big deal..... Stop feeling so entitled to absolutely nothing. No one is disrespecting you. If a wave upsets you then maybe you should find something new to...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI've been a loyal patron for over a year. I come in everyday, support all my friends who have events and parties there. But tonight I was racially profiled, insulted and disrespected by a bartender who mistook me for a patron who had to be thrown out. I guess all black females look the same to them. Once the mistake was realized I got a half assed apology from the manger and a free drink. The bartender who discriminated against me never apologized. If you ever wonder why you see no blacks working here, maybe this will give you some insight. I was mortified and insulted to my core. I would have never thought a gay bar is where I would face bigotry, but I guess anything is possible in this world. Watch your back if your black , you may get profiled, and if it does happen do not think for a second it's an innocent...
