Mighty Quinn’s Barbeque is a celebrated name in the world of smoked meats, blending the tradition of authentic, slow-cooked barbecue with a modern, casual dining experience. Founded by pitmaster Hugh Mangum, the restaurant began as a hit at Brooklyn’s Smorgasburg food market and quickly gained a devoted following, eventually expanding to multiple locations across New York and beyond.
The heart of Mighty Quinn’s appeal lies in its commitment to quality and simplicity. Meats are seasoned minimally, allowing the natural flavors and the signature wood-smoked aroma to shine. The brisket is a standout—perfectly marbled, tender, and rich, with a flavorful bark that needs no sauce to impress. The massive “Brontosaurus Rib” is a showstopper, slow-cooked until the meat practically melts off the bone, while the pulled pork offers a perfect balance of smokiness and juiciness.
Beyond the main cuts, sides such as burnt-end baked beans, pickled vegetables, and creamy coleslaw complement the meats beautifully, adding freshness and variety to the plate. The casual, industrial-chic interiors, featuring reclaimed wood and bright, open spaces, make it a comfortable spot for both quick lunches and laid-back dinners.
Mighty Quinn’s has built a reputation not just for great barbecue, but for consistency, speed, and friendly service. For anyone seeking a satisfying, flavorful barbecue experience that captures both the art of traditional smoking and the ease of modern dining, Mighty Quinn’s Barbeque remains a...
Read moreTo begin, I searched for the best wings in NYC and we found this establishment.
While placing our order, I had some questions and asked Isaiah for some recommendations on what else to get. He was very informative and friendly. Isaiah helped bring the large order to our table and thoughtfully provided us with plenty of water and forks since it was a hot day. The food arrived quickly and was delicious. The presentation was also impressive, with the food looking very appetizing.
After we had eaten our fill, we asked for to-go boxes. Isaiah and Zaekima kindly provided us with boxes, lids, and extra bags. It was quite busy at the time, but watching them work efficiently and provide everyone with excellent customer service made our stay enjoyable.
During our three-week stay here, I have eaten out every day and been to numerous places, ranging from moderately priced to high-end establishments. It is easy to perform a satisfactory job and deliver an average experience. However, when you pay attention to the minute details and maintain a cheerful demeanor throughout, that is what distinguishes you from the majority. I can easily say that this restaurant was among the best.
We will definitely return and recommend it to anyone looking for exceptional meat and...
