OLIYO — Restaurant in New York

Hospitalized for 2 days. Sever food poisoning. I’ve eaten there many times. Once previously I got very sick but Didn’t make the connection until the second time when I need to be hospitalized for 2 days. The vomiting wasn’t enough. More than half my body was covered in a rash. The only cooked food I ate in significant period of time prior was from this establishment They Do not through food away, regardless how long it’s sitting there. I work very close to this establishment, it’s convenient and I go there often. At then end of the night they merge the food into a pan or 2, utensils are cross contaminated as well. Service A Everyone is very friendly and helpful, especially for such a busy area near Times Square.

Atmosphere A- It’s just South of Times Square, so a little frantic, but they have a decent amount of seating upstairs if you eat-in (no table service, but honestly it’s better that way). Very clean, but it’s also a new place.

Food A- Lots of variety via the hot and cold buffet bars. Sometimes in the early afternoon some of the food has been out since lunchtime, so the texture might be off (think part crunchy, part soggy fried spring rolls). I had eaten at this place before and never had a problem, but this time I got seriously food poisoned.

After eating a mix of food — including some chicken that looked undercooked, rice, vegetables, and pasta — I started feeling very sick a few hours later. I experienced intense stomach pain, vomiting, fever, body aches, and weakness that lasted over 24 hours.

I couldn’t eat anything solid for more than a day and felt completely drained. It was honestly one of the worst food poisoning experiences I’ve ever had in my life.
