I would give PT of the City Midtown zero stars if I could. My wife went here seeking pelvic floor physical therapy, hoping for relief and support—but what she experienced was nothing short of a nightmare. Not only did she leave in more pain than when she arrived, but she endured a level of negligence that left us both shocked and furious.
The session started off poorly when the nurse failed to use a clean glove. When my wife pointed this out, only then did she reluctantly switch to a sterile one, an oversight that already set a terrible tone. But it was during the electric stimulation therapy where things truly went south. They placed the device and left it on its maximum setting, leaving her in severe pain. To make matters worse, the buzzer for help wasn’t working. She was forced to remove the device herself because the pain was unbearable, abandoned in her own distress with no staff responding. This is supposed to be a trusted healthcare facility, but they displayed an appalling lack of care and respect.
A place meant to help people heal ended up traumatizing her and left her in worse condition than before. We trusted them with her health and well-being, and they utterly failed us. I would strongly warn anyone against going to PT of the City Midtown for any reason—especially for something as sensitive and personal as pelvic floor therapy.
This experience has not only been physically painful but emotionally distressing. No one should ever be treated this way, especially by...
Read moreWriting this on behalf of my family member who went to this clinic for pelvic floor help since she's pregnant. It was the most unprofessional appointment I have ever heard of.
She asked whether the doctor would send an after care summary of exercises. The doctor replied: "Why would I send them, there were only two, you should've just remembered." The doctor said, "you came here so late. You should have come when you were eight weeks pregnant." She didn't have any problems at eight weeks. What doctor victimizes their patients? The doctor did a pelvic floor exam, which involves a digital inspection of the pelvic floor, and did not have a third person in the room. A male practitioner with a female patient doing an invasive procedure without a third person in the room. The doctor, without asking, wiped my family member from back to front. Back. To. Front. What kind of health professional wipes back to front. Again, did not ask!
This doctor is the reason why women do not go with male physicians for any reproductive problems.
In addition, the office asked for a $75 copay, even though our plan specifically states that it's $15, and previous communication with the office confirmed...
Read moreThis review is specifically for the appointment experience and has nothing to do with the doctor. One of the reasons I’m also writing this is because in the course of the 1.5 hours I waited for my turn (despite having an appointment that was confirmed via text twice), I noticed the receptionist asked every client to leave a google review. When I walked in for my 4.15 pm appointment, there were 4 others waiting. At about 4.45 with no update I enquired how long it would take & was told schedules are running off since some clients came earlier than their turn. A girl next to me whose appointment was at 4 finally went in at 5.05. I was told “I’m next”, waited till 5.45 and getting annoyed asked for an update to which I was told few more minutes! I’ve been to other PT clinics before and never experienced this kind of delay, not at any other doctors office. When I left , one of the staff saw me at the elevator and apologized asking me to try again on Mon. I appreciate she made an effort but by then I was cheesed off that I left work early to just sit & wait 90 min and had to leave coz I had other plans. Unfortunately I don’t have the patience to try...
