Paradis in the Park — Restaurant in New York

While worker Maggie is wonderful, kind efficient and nice, the other person named Veronica which she said to work in the office was not so nice and made me feel very uncomfortable. I come here every morning since I work in one of the store in Hudson yard. I never asked for a discount since I don't take for granted and I didn't know they offer discount for who work in Hudson yard but Maggie was so nice to allow me to use it from now on since I am an Hudson yard employee which buy breakfast at Paradis every day. As instructed today I told so to Veronica and she laughed and looked and me like if I was lying and said that they don't offer any discount at all. I said :" no a problem", than she changed the version of the facts and said we usually offer one for who works for Hudson yard but they need to collect an ID. People that work in the stores of Hudson yard do not get an ID but they are still Hudson yard workers. Her attitude was very abrasive and not nice, clearly she does not know how to handle customer service and she could have handled the situation in a different way. Decided to drop by here today after reading that Paradis was famous for thick and chewy chocolate chip cookies. There was only one cookie left and it looked dry and thin. I asked the person manning the cart if this was their popular cookie. He asked “what?” back to me - it was obvious he couldn’t hear me cuz he had AirPods in his ears. I repeated myself and told him I heard about how thick and chewy they’re supposed to be, and he growled in an annoyed tone at me, “it’s a cookie,” then looked down to go back to whatever he was doing. We went to a very busy convention and it was getting a little overwhelming in the Javits center, long lines for everything so we decided to take a break and walk to find a bathroom and some food for lunch. We lucked out when we found this place just a short walk away! Quiet nice spot, and the food was delish! We both had yummy sandwiches and even an adult beverage.
