this is a SUPERSMALL bakery + deli in NoLita. Parisi's famous for its HUGE sandwiches made up of: fine meats & cheeses, soft crisp fresh-baked breads, flavorful herb spreads, and much more. the menu consists of a small list of hot sandwiches and cold sandwiches. there's a catering menu for events and such. all sandwiches are enormous and easily shareable between two to three people.
honestly, if you are going to try one sandwich here--go for "The Dennis." multiple hot chicken cutlets, fresh mozzarella, thin prosciutto, tomatoes, a splash balsamic, and an herb spread (pesto-y)...all sandwiched in a warm gigantic hero roll. SO FREAKING GOOD! $12 for this thrill ride of sandwich. tour the menu...the Parisi sandwiches do not disappoint.
there's always a wait especially during lunch. it's worth it, though. quality takes time and folks who love the food here wouldn't want it any other way. the staff is constantly moving and making your sandwiches delicious. be nice.

Finally get a chance to try an original Italian joint, and I had no idea what to order. I asked the guy to give me something spicy, moist and juicy, and hella good. I can't remember what he built my monster of a sandwich with.. but somewhere along the lines of sopressata, salami, mozzarella, red peppers, some olive oil on a foot-long sub for about $9.
When I got home, I unwrapped the white paper like a kid on Christmas morning as fast as I could. Took the biggest bite I can off this giant size sandwich and enjoyed the day in sandwich heaven. This sandwich was huge! In the end..the sandwich was gone in one sitting. Don't judge..I was hungry and it tasted that good that...
