I wanted to share my experience at the 7th Avenue showroom, particularly for those who might be weighing their options in the modular sofa market.
First off, big shoutout to Harrison – the guy's a gem! Before we even met, he was super on point with the email game, answering all my questions. When we got there a bit early (excitement, you know?), he was already with some folks but made us feel acknowledged and included.
Now, to address the elephant in the room: I've read a few reviews about the assembly challenges and questions over the premium feel of these sofas. I brought these concerns to Harrison, and his response was as honest as it gets. He acknowledged the feedback and explained how 7th Avenue is continuously acting on the feedback received and are buckling down on these issues. He's also personally attests to the customer service team being amazing so we can be sure that any issues that arise will be sorted out. That kind of assurance and confidence in the company really helps in making a big purchase decision like this.
It took us over a month to finally jump on their Black Friday deal. Harrison was quick to get our order sorted, even remembered the exact firmness we were chatting about. And he was transparent about how swamped he was, so I appreciated his heads-up on any communication delays.
The journey from the showroom visit to the final purchase was a testament to Harrison's professionalism and genuine customer care. His approach was never pushy but always supportive and informative.
For those considering a modular sofa, a visit to the 7th Avenue Nolita showroom is a must. The hands-on experience might just surprise you, leading you to discover a great sofa for your space. And if you get a chance, ask for Harrison – you'll be in knowledgeable and...
Read moreMy partner and I had such a great experience visiting the 7th Avenue showroom in Nolita. Being able to try out the different couches, fabrics, and layouts in person was super helpful. We decided to go with the extra-deep couch (definitely worth the added cost).
The staff was awesome, really friendly and helpful. They even did a demo showing how you can spill Coca-Cola on the cushion and just wipe it right off without leaving a stain. That definitely sold us on the fabric.
When we went to place our order online, we noticed we weren’t getting the same free pillows offer we had seen in store. We called the Nolita showroom, and Harrison was incredibly kind and accommodating. He set us up with free lumbar and other pillows, which really sweetened the deal and made us glad we stopped by the showroom first.
Once our couch arrived, we realized we had ordered too big of a setup. Thankfully, the modular design made it super easy to adjust. 7th Avenue even covered free return shipping and gave us a full refund for the pieces we sent back.
The only small downside was that assembling the couch took more effort than we expected, especially wrapping the base in the cloth cover. The steps are easy to follow, it's just a little cumbersome. It’s absolutely doable with two people, but I’d recommend budgeting more time for assembly.
Overall, the couch is fantastic and the whole experience from showroom to delivery was smooth and positive. Would definitely recommend both the product and the team at 7th...
Read moreNot a great experience with 7th Avenue. Surprised by all the positive reviews. I had my couch delivered yesterday to find they sent wrong items, and some of the pieces are not fitting together properly. The construction of the couch overall feels very wonky and off...almost like someone RUSHED through the process of making it. A couple of the parts don't even fit together at all – my partner and I spent hours trying to make something work. Slip covers fit weird, things don't align cleanly and properly. I tried to reach out via email to the person who sold me the couch, still hasn't responded to my email. I tried calling 7th Avenue's support line, they told me their systems were down and that they couldn't help me. I tried calling the Nolita store, no one answered. So now here I am writing this review. Far from a luxury experience, now I'm stuck with an endless amount of cardboard boxes and a couch that can't be used. Won't be returning it because I bet the return process is an absolute nightmare...
UPDATE per 7th Avenue's customer service response to this post: Yes, I called your customer service line listed on your official website +1 (877) 644 - 1506 and was told your system's were indeed down...so no need to gaslight me. I'll forward my correspondence with the sales rep to the email you provided and we will see...
