Pita Yeero — Restaurant in New York

Ambiance (5/5): Inside dining available for sit-down after counter ordering. There are seats that face the windows which are open during the summer. There's also additional outdoor patio seating. Inside is clean and has Greek-themed colors and décor! Service (N/A): Ordered a 'Build Your Own Pocket Pita' (4/5) for $16.06 and the Doordash promo had 'buy get one free'!! So it was a superb price to get me to try this new addition to the neighborhood. The portion size of pita was huge--larger than a hand for a half pocket. The inside is mostly stuffed with leafy greens than protein--Not to say that there wasn't enough meat. Chicken was seasoned well and not dry. The fries are terrible--soggy and no flavor. I just came back from Greece and was excited to try this place. While the food itself was good, the customer service was disappointing. There were only two employees at the front, and unfortunately, neither was particularly pleasant.

The woman at the register quickly tossed the ingredients into the bowl and barely added any onions or feta. I had to return because they forgot the sauces, and when I did, there was no apology or acknowledgment of the mistake.

I understand that restaurants can get busy, but friendly and attentive customer service...

First time here. Space was clean and welcoming. They did a nice job with decor. Loved the tile in the bathroom. Never knew how much I liked peeing in a place that’s aesthetically pleasing to look at. Got the chicken souvlaki pita with the yeero sauce. Definitely recommend yeero sauce for the chicken. Pairs nicely. Chicken was fresh and juicy, straight from the grill.
