what a serious let down. Saw a viral tiktok about this place and got excited to come down here with my friends to try it out. The host was nice and tried to accommodate a table for us because it was crowded. HOWEVER, the minute we got sat down it took several minutes for the server to even acknowledge us. And when she did, she had such a rude demeanor. Like she did not want to take care of us. We asked about the after hours menu and she said “okay” then took 10 minutes to bring it to us. When we saw her she was just lollygagging at the corner of the bar. We try to order something off the large menu given to us and she said we couldn’t because she already did last call, when she didn’t even tell us that, nor did we know that prior to coming here. So the drinks and food we wanted to try weren’t even an option. Finally we get the food from the after hour menu and it was so mid. The birria smash burger was horrible. extremely soggy and had no flavor. The nachos and tacos were good though. We noticed the same waitress take care of a table of men right behind us and we noticed her sweet tone with them and were so confused why she didn’t have that character with us. Then we get the bill and there’s a 20% service charge on it. We get some places charge on a group of 5 or more b it she didn’t even service us well enough to deserve 20%… It felt as if she didn’t think she had to give us good service because she knew her tip was already covered!!! Ambiance: I love the vibe. It’s subtle and feels like a cozy local spot mixed with upscale decor. It makes you feel comfortable and also like you’re having dinner at a nice place. It’s a good spot for a date. They have a really nice table tucked away by the windows for 2 people.

Food: I really enjoyed the food here. They had so many great vegetarian options and it was nice to be confused about what I wanted. Started with the chips and salsa, 2 of them felt really fresh and were well seasoned. The third was a pico de gallo and tasted like one. The last one was a chili sauce, was spicy but felt a bit too oily for me. The chips were clearly freshly made and were thick and crispy. For appetizers we got the taquitos, delicious. Crispy and didn’t feel over fried. It had the right amount of filling in it and the salsas it came with complimented it well. We also got the fried zucchini blossoms. They were amazing and such a unique take on zucchini blossoms. They were crispy and the filling was a good blend. As my main I got the mushroom barbacoa plate. The mushrooms were really good and well marinated. I liked that they had a different blend of mushrooms and it was smoky and spicy.

Happy hour special: they have a great happy hour special from 4-6pm. It’s discounted appetizers: nachos, chips and salsa etc. and also discounted drinks.

Service: it was fast and everyone was friendly and helpful.

This is the second time I've traveled here all the way from home after a long day to be told the kitchen was closed... I first visited a couple weeks ago. Food was great and I was informed that their late night menu is served between 11pm-1am and drinks until closing which is around 2. The second time I visited i arrived at 12:10am and was told the kitchen closed at 12am... okay. I asked if that was normal and they said yes if its not busy so try to get there by 12am latest. Okay... so yesterday I went again. This time at 11:45pm. I got there and I noticed that no one was eating and was told that the kitchen closed at 11:30pm. It is very frustrating to travel almost an hour on two occasions after a long day and at that time of night to be told I cannot have a meal. Why promote and encourage people to come for a late night menu if you close the kitchen whenever you feel like it without any indication anywhere that itll be closed.. they also dont answer their phones. The worse part is that once I was told that the kitchen was closed, I wasnt left with many options to have dinner because of how late it was.
