Skinny Louie — Restaurant in New York

Skinny Louie was amazing. Nestled on 28th and Broadway in Manhattan, it's definitely a great addition to this craze that is "Smash Burgers" Inside there's a wooden table aligned by the window with about 4 barstools and there are two smaller tables with stools for sitting. So it doesn't have the seating of some of the more well known fast food burger chains i.e. Burger K and Wendy's, however there's outside seating all along that section of 28th St from the train station to the end of the block. It's in a great location for meeting friends or the intimate date spot. Ordering isn't hard. The red and white ambiance, clean walls and floors makes you feel good about coming in and placing an order. The menu is clearly posted on the wall, along with the prices. The burgers come in single/double/triple. It's reasonably priced and their are fries and milkshakes. This being my first time, I opted for 3 single (Applewood) bacon burgers and they did not dissapoint. The meat was juicy, the bacon was thick and somewhat crisp, not burnt and crunchy. What really got my attention was the sauce. Just as other burger places have a signature sauce, this sauce was extraordinary. As soon as I bit into it, it was so good, I lifted the top bun to make sure there would be some in every bite. The service was excellent. As I said, it was my first time, so the cashier didn't rush or get exasperated as I looked over the menu to ensure I'd be getting just what I want. He smiled, handed me my receipt and said thank you before I even got my food. Overall, Skinny Louie is a GREAT burger place. Next time, I'm getting some fries and a shake to complete the experience. I had a bad experience with one of my recent orders, which I shared through a review because the burger was poorly presented and didn’t meet expectations.

However, I have to say that Skinny Louie truly knows how to handle these situations. After reaching out, they responded with kindness and professionalism, and offered a solution that far exceeded my expectations.

I visited the 1145 Broadway location, and the experience was excellent. I was welcomed by Manager Frederick, who was extremely respectful, attentive, and sincere. He took the time to apologize for what happened, and we even had a thoughtful conversation about how important it is to care for the presentation of food in a restaurant.

It’s rare to find this level of customer service. Mistakes can happen — but what truly matters is how a business responds to them. In this case, they handled it in an exemplary way.

Thank you again to Frederick and the Skinny Louie team for turning a negative moment into a truly positive one.

I decided to try out this burger joint for the very 1st time ever with my dad and it was the best. The large-sized Double Patty Skinny Louie Smashed Burgers were flavorful and juicy, the onions and the cheesiness on the burger just adds more flavorful depth to the burger, the pickles and their Louie Sauce were excellent compliments to the burger with neither one overwhelming the burger and their shoestring fries were underratedly solid to go with the burger. On top of that, the cashier was absolutely friendly and attentive, the kitchen staff were locked in on getting every order right, the atmosphere was lively with some audible but yet enjoyable music and the establishment was clean and customer friendly all-around. As my dad and I were ready to head out, the cashier gave me complimentary Skinny Louie decals and it left a great impression on me when it was all said and done.
