Smorgasburg WTC — Restaurant in New York

Smorgasbord at the World Trade Center is an outdoor food court. Apart from some food vendors that are different most of the foods are similar to the ones that recently were at The Shed and Union Square Night Market. This is held every Friday throughout the summer months till the end of October. Today I went for the second time this year and ate the Indonesian beef and chicken skewers. The chicken was tender and tasty with the sweet & sour sauce but the beef was tough and I left most of it. Ariane gave me a discount for the two as she recognized me from the other two venues. Then I had a taco from Carlotta’s of New Jersey that was averag in taste. A lot of tourists come here and don’t flinch at the prices but as a resident here I have found prices much higher since the pandemic. French fries are most popular as the cones are stuffed and it’s an inexpensive way to eat and feed a visiting family. Great food options. Out of this world barbecue from bark and bona bona had some of the best ice cream I've had in my life. Creative mixins that aren't overwhelming. They do it right. And the merengue completes the experience. Visually and gustatory satisfying. I had the Italian rainbow cookie and tried a taste of the frosted animal crack. Both on point. Burger Supreme burger is simple taken to perfection. Great smash burger-- white American cheese, great mustard leaning sauce, quality smashed thin patty and a potato bun, A burger doesn't need to be complex to be delicious and they do it right. Great empanadas, only tried 2 the goat cheese and Blueberry and pork with mango. Very solid flavor. The Blueberry and cheese was incredibly interesting and really balanced, not too sweet or savory. I stopped by this past Friday since I worked in the area, and I absolutely loved it. I normally go to the festival in Prospect Park on Sundays, being that they have more vendors to choose from. A lot of the vendors at this location, with the exception of a few, are at other locations, so there really aren't too many other options. The prices of the food can get quiet costly depending on what and how much you are getting. Since this festival is right near the WTC, the area gets very crowded, especially during lunchtime, so I suggest going earlier.
