I am going to make 2 complaints only because I think it’s important for first timers to know what’s expected. I had asked for a “swirl combo” which I assumed the associate knew at the time but for some reason we were having difficulty getting that message through. After explaining he told me they don’t have the swirl combo for the matcha and black sesame or the matcha/ube which I found concerning only because on the soft swerve Instagram page it shows all these combinations being created with the soft swerve flavors but this is not the experience I got. Secondly, I disliked this location only because all the ice cream was in the back had they had the options up front and visible I would’ve been able to see what they guy was pulling from the back. Then I got charged for switching from the ice cream to the soft serve and I explained to him had I known what you were pulling from the back I wouldn’t have paid twice. That was frustrating I assumed after Al that they would accommodate me but nope just got a refund on my first order and paid for another order. So for my first timers be mindful of the location you choose and...
Read moreI have been wanting to try this place for awhile so I admit my expectations were quite high. It lived up to them in certain areas. Where they shine is with less traditional flavors, Ube, milk tea, black sesame. The Ube soft serve is phenomenal. I had that in a vanilla waffle cone with cereal marshmallows. Highly recommend though skip paying the extra money for the flavored waffle cone, it’s nothing special. I tried the vanilla and chocolate soft serve and they were fine, great texture, but lacked flavor. My boyfriend got the Hong Kong Milk Tea ice cream which was great. I appreciate the fact that it actually tasted like tea vs other places where they tend to lean into the sweet cream flavor vs tea. I was a bit surprised by how expensive it was for what you get, more then even Van Leeuwen which is a bit crazy. Overall it won’t be a go to for me, but it’s a solid place and I recommend a visit if you are craving more...
Read moreThe flavors are unique and pretty hard to find at regular ice cream stores, but it’s $7.50 for a 1 scoop or $10 for a 2 scoop. So me and my friend just did a 2 scoop and split it and saved $4. Toppings are extra if you want them. It’s a small shop with limited seating. I think we went at 8pm and then there was a whole family in line before us with only 1 person working so it took 15 minutes to get our order in. When we took a seat we were just joking around and laughing and the cashier told us to quiet down because people live upstairs. So when we exited the shop we looked above and the lights were off and it didn’t seem like anyone was home. It’s just strange to be told to quiet down at 8pm...
