We came here on a Friday night and were seated quickly. The bar is right in the center of the restaurant, and the hookah guy had his entourage gathered there — taking up space, smoking hookah, on FaceTime, and just hanging around during dinner service. It was distracting and unprofessional to have a whole group lingering like that while people were trying to eat.
From the moment we sat down, the server started pushing drinks. We politely said we weren’t ready yet, but she physically turned our menu to the drink section and pushed again because it was “Friday night.” This happened multiple times, along with repeated offers for hookah before we’d even finished eating.
The food itself was excellent — some of the best chicken karaage we’ve ever had, and the sushi was fresh and delicious. Unfortunately, the service ruined the night. The server began making a joke about how fast we were eating. Fine the first time, but she kept repeating it every time she came by, even when our body language made it clear we weren’t laughing. The persistence and overconfidence felt strange — almost like the staff themselves had been drinking — because it didn’t match the situation at all.
The constant upselling became so over-the-top it was embarrassing — not for us, but for them. It felt desperate, like they were willing to push anything just to make a sale. Ironically, we actually came in open to ordering drinks and hookah, but the aggressive, almost desperate approach killed our interest completely. By the end, we just asked for the check and left, even though the food was great.
Bottom line: Amazing kitchen, but the pushy, unprofessional, and awkward service turned what could have been a great night into one we couldn’t...

From the moment we walked in, everything was perfect. The atmosphere is stylish yet cozy—modern decor with warm lighting that sets the mood for a relaxing and enjoyable meal. You can tell a lot of thought went into creating a welcoming space.
Now, the food… absolutely next level. Every dish was fresh, beautifully presented, and bursting with flavor. The sushi was some of the best I’ve ever had—melt-in-your-mouth perfection. Whether you’re into classic rolls or more adventurous creations, they’ve nailed it across the board.
What truly sets Sushi Shiro apart, though, is the service. The staff was friendly, attentive, and genuinely passionate about making sure we had an amazing time. They walked us through the menu, made great recommendations, and checked in just the right amount.
Honestly, everything about this place was on point. Food? 10/10. Atmosphere? Immaculate. Service? Top-tier. Can’t wait to come back—and I’ll be recommending it to...

Tako Crudo: nice chewy octopus Wild Forest Mushroom Broth: Small so good with wild mushroom Williamsburg Roll: one of my favorite special roll. Garlic Firecracker shrimp Risotto: not crazy about it at all. Not that good combination for this fusion food. Naruto Special Roll: I love it, only fish and vegetable, no rice.
