Nick’s breakfast burrito still reigns supreme. 10900 Los Alamitos Blvd UNIT 109, Los Alamitos, CA 90720 I’ve tried 19 breakfast burritos so far, and I was thinking…what if my rankings are off because of recency bias? So I wanted to try Nick’s again, which has been at the top of my list since back last year. Well, my friends…I still think it’s the best after trying again!! It’s $8.95, just the right substantial size, the flavor of the chorizo and eggs and potatoes and bacon and cheese is all blended perfectly, there’s great salsa…it’s just my favorite. Do you agree? Here’s the list of rankings: Nick’s in Seal Beach - 9.75 LJ’s Cafe in Cypress - 9.5 That Epic Burrito Shack in Huntington Beach - 8.6 Pepe’s in Fullerton - 8.3 Troy’s in Orange - 8.2 Nate’s Korner in Santa Ana - 8.1 Ham ‘N Scram in Westminster - 8.0 The Trough in Irvine, Anaheim, and RSM - 7.8 George’s in Fullerton - 7.8 Palm Market Deli in Orange - 7.5 Rose Cafe in Lake Forest - 7.5 Lupes - Dana Point/Aliso Viejo/HB - 7.4 Surfin Donuts in Mission Viejo - 7.3 Paul’s Place in Orange - 7 Teddy’s Deli - 6.8 Cali Tacos in Orange - 6.8 Hola Adios in Costa Mesa - 6.5 Athenian #3 in Buena Park - 6 John’s Place in Orange - 5.3 . . . #breakfast #breakfastburrito #cheers #wheretoeat #mmm #feedfeed #sealbeach #losalamitos #orangecounty

My son (6 yrs old) and I love this place! If we are in the neighborhood this is his go to place. I love it for the lobster mac, sweet potatoe steak fries and drinks. They have a margarita that I love and some pretty interesting concoctions I have yet to try. My son loves it for their guacamole and whatever he feels for on the kids menu and off it lol. Great place, love the ambiance, good for little ones; coloring books and smiles are always available. We've had the same hostess on all of our trips and forgive me for not remembering her name but she has a great photographic memory and knows us each time. Always chats up my little one! If you are around or even if your not check this place out. You won't be disappointed.

The feeling of a beloved local classic. Great location, ambience, and the food/beer selection just make it better. Can get busy, especially when they’re not staffed properly for busy rushes. Buffalo Wings - Perfectly crisped on the outside while remaining juicy and tender on the inside. Fantastic homemade sauce. Arguably the best wings in the neighborhood. Loaded Nachos - Generous portion. Meat and sauce were on the slightly sweeter side. The game changer would have been homemade or at least thicker cut chips. *As always, remember everyone has off days, check your bias, and consider other palates.

I came here on a Friday night while passing by Brooklyn with my sister and her boyfriend. Honestly, this place is oddly racist. As two Latina women and one Bangladeshi man it was such an uncomfortable experience. We got seated and noted that everyone in the restaurant was white (the customers) it took about 10 minutes for someone to ask us if we wanted water or any drinks. We were patient and got our drinks, no napkins, no utensils. About 20 minutes passed while we have our drinks and we were looking for our waiter. Despite him making direct eye contact numerous times, he helped every other table around us instead. I thought maybe he was just busy, so we waited another 10 minutes and noticed he was looking for other things to do instead of helping us. At this point after waiting almost 40 minutes, I explained to the hostess I would just like to pay for the bill. I understand when a place gets busy but it was clear we were the only minorities in the restaurant and being refused service. After paying, I told the hostess goodnight and thank you for her help but she didn’t say anything back and looked at us up and down with an expression. This is not a feeling I would want anyone to go through and if you are reading this and are to a minority I would think twice about coming here. We deserve the same service as any other...

I ordered a beef burger with curley fries. The burger was not that good. You get a very thick meat piece that is not seasoned - the burger is really dry - I didn’t order any extras - but when I added avocado still dry. There is no sauce and I find it peculiar that the extras are what make a burger a signature burger of a restaurant. But you are there to decide for yourself but each costs 2 dollars so the 15.50 dollars for main burger seems like a good deal but then when you add all the nice things avo and cheese it gets pricey. Just don’t know why a restaurant that is there since 1887 treats their menu like “subway” make your own.

The Curley fries were amazing- really crispy but have to say way too many. I can eat but the portion was unnecessary much. The plate also was not a smart choice - everything just fit on it - so if you were to decide to cut the burger instead of eating it with the hand (due to massively thick meat) there would have not been a way…

It’s just sad that the burger wasn’t really good there is so many options all over NYC and I shouldn’t have...

Neighborhood locals, frequented Teddy’s many times before. Stopped in early evening with our 6 month old. Normally would give this place 5 stars for beer selection and ambiance. However today, we had dismal service. We were scoffed at when we requested to sample some of their newer beers on their rotation to decide what we wanted to order. Then we received some suspect garlic aioli with our fries. We told our server it tasted stale or funky and she brought us the same exact one. She slapped it down on the table without even saying a word, and never checked back in to see if it was better. When we paid the bill, we mentioned that it still tasted off in case anyone else ordered it. There was an awkward pause after which she said she’d tell her manager. I gave her a more than generous tip for the level of service, and she bee-lined to her coworker to complain about us and give us a death stare.

Overall, we’ve always loved it here. Have even sat at the bar and got to know one of the owners who is very nice and accommodating. But today this put a sour taste in our mouths...
