I pondered for many weeks whether I should write this review or not. The interesting point is that it has nothing to do with the food but rather the service. Let me start by saying that I would visit this establishment at least once every two weeks. I even opened a rewards account on the app. On this particular day I visited, my sister and I were brainstorming what we should have for dinner. The choices were Panda Express or a Ramen place but I remembered I had received coupons for Teriyaki Madness that same week so I made my way to this establishment. When I entered this location, there were four customers online. I waited my turn as I watched the others before me placing their orders and stepping to the side. When it was my turn and I approached the counter, a young woman assisted me. I pointed out that I had coupons. I handed them over to her and she began to work on the screen. She attempted to authenticate the coupons for almost a minute but she was unsuccessful even though she was able to verify that it should work as the coupons were not yet expired. She asked for the help of her manager or supervisor. An older man (either Latino or Black) approached us. Right off the bat, he came off very rude. He said to her, “seeing as you don’t know how to do it, let me teach you something.” I immediately looked at the young woman’s face and saw a look of discomfort. The young woman and I looked at this older man as he attempted to authenticate the coupons; he tried for about two minutes. Then the young woman said, “how about if you…”, attempting to help and he immediately put up his hand to cut her off. He seemed frustrated that he couldn’t figure it out and told her, “if you’re going to watch me do it, then stand there quietly while I figure it out.” Again, the young woman just took it. Another half a minute passed and the man told the young woman, “instead of standing there doing nothing, why don’t you go help in the back?”. I couldn’t take it anymore. I asked him, “why are you talking to her like that?”. He then put his hand up towards me and told me something like I shouldn’t butt in if I don’t know what I’m talking about. I responded with “if you’re going to show her something, do it with a good attitude.” He said, “I have shown her but she doesn’t learn.” After another minute, he gave up on the coupons and said he couldn’t figure it out. He asked me if I still wanted to order and I told him a firm no. I apologized to the woman for troubling her and gave her my sympathy for working there & I walked out.
Teriyaki Madness lost a customer that day. I have not gone back since and last night when I was looking for a place to order from, this establishment was...
Read moreOK so I live near the 125th St. location and I have been in there multiple times in person. On July 5th 2024, I ordered three bowls (totaling $52.37 ) for my family and I. It was suggested by employee to download the teriyaki madness app for food delivery (“”because they aren’t on Uber””🙄 which was a lie because the delivery personnel was a Uber delivery personnel ) so this day I decided to try it. To make a long story short, I never received the food because the delivery personnel canceled the order after being given the meals. I received text message from teriyaki madness’s app/ Uber, stating that I needed to reach out to the business location that I ordered from for further assistance. And I did. Yet the supervisor at the time by the name of Joseph was extremely rude and extremely unprofessional when it came to helping me. He told me that there was nothing he could do about it, and he also hung up the phone on me. I had to call back later that day and threaten to bring the police into the restaurant if I did not see money refunded back into my card. All I’m going to say is if you go to this restaurant do not order through the app I believe that this place is scamming people out of money and I have receipts to prove the whole exchange . The food is not that good to go through the headache . Be safe folks and be blessed.!!
Oh, an update. I just seen that another client./customer went through the very same experience as me about a year ago, which is super unfortunate that everyone is calling out the same manager, and he still there working and...
Read moreSo I love their rice it’s really good the chicken I like that it is grilled has a grilled over the flame flavor however I have it 2 stars bc the chicken is a bit dry and they give you this tiny tiny like medicine cup size teriyaki sauce that is not even close to anything in it as a sauce to drizzle over the food and it’s only enough to put over one strip of the chicken are they kidding me ? Not even close to enough what about giving a half of pint that will work not like 5 mgs amount of sauce how cheap are these people?? If this is the amount they trying to give people I will stick with teriyaki boy bc atleast they give a salad with ginger dressing and either grilled or fried chicken pieces that are boneless and a big size teriyaki sauce but my daughter told me the food is good try it I did and it’s ok not the best I’ve tried. If you want cheapness and you get what you pay for then it’s a place to go but if you want really good food teriyaki boys Tokyo fried chicken is the best !!! I have to think about this place again bc hmmm they stop being so cheap maybe and give us more options other then just overcooked vegetables one choice of vegetables then I will order again AND MORE TERIYAKI SAUCE not just a teaser or sampler sauce also the dumplings was ok pot stickers except they tasted like the pan and only have one kind chicken egg rolls to was ok not the best but it not worth the price they have you pay for it !! And they give you hot sauce with it …. 🤔 that’s an oddball...
