I’m deeply concerned about the presence of mold in the air vents and how management handled the situation. After raising the issue, they did clean the vents in my unit only, but no other units were inspected or cleaned, despite the risk that the issue may be building-wide — especially considering past flooding and burst pipes.
Their "inspection" involved nothing more than a visual check — no professional air quality or mold testing was performed. Mold in HVAC systems isn't something that can be properly assessed this way. When I pushed for more thorough action, I was told to "do my research" — which I have.
In addition, the internet service is unreliable, often down for extended periods with no resolution or communication from management.
It’s incredibly disappointing to see tenant health and safety treated as an afterthought. I strongly urge future renters to ask hard questions and not be fooled by surface-level appearances.
Also, this building is not owned by peakmade anymore. Though when you click the links on their website like terms of service to try to find out..... It brings you to peakmade.
I see some reviews saying its clean? It's not.... From flies over running the gym, to going into a smelly elevator, to stepping on dog poop or other unknown liquids coming off the elevator. I clicked through some of these high rated reviews.... I haven't seen these people and honestly have an extremely hard time believing they do live here. Because, all I here is people complain...
Read moreI moved into the Reserve about 2 months ago. I live in coliving apartment with three roommates that I did not pick. This is my 3rd coliving experience. What I like most about The Reserve coliving experience is that there are so many amenity rooms you can go to if you don't want to be in the apartment with your roommates. They have a community work area with desks, printers, and some private booths. They have several indoor lounges as well as three rooftop lounges. They have a semi-soundproofed recording studio area, a nice 24-hour gym, a spa room with a steam chamber, and massage chairs. They have secure mail lockers for Amazon/UPS. They have bike storage, a pool table, and move-in incentives. The building is new, so the rooms have central AC and heat. The rooms are new so there's no draft coming in the large windows. The apartments are nicely furnished and provide toilet paper, paper towels, trash bags, sponges, dish soap, etc. The apartment is a block East of the 4-5-6 train stop on 125th. And the crosstown buses (M125, M101, M-60 are less than a block from the building. It's across the street from a large brand-new grocery store and one building over from a Burger King. It's convenient to the LGA airport for...
Read moreSome issues with this place, think wise before you sign a lease here:
The Wifi is very bad and not stable, especially if you WFH They used a service call ConService to charge your electricity bill (google them- this company has very bad reviews on backbilling and upcharge invoice). My apt would receive bill from them in June for February invoice, asking for extra $70 for each of 4 roommates on top of the $50 each person monthly electricity stipend we have from our amenity fees- meaning that month our apt used total of $480 in electricity- which was absurd as one of the roommates was not even at the apt that month! We kept on receiving random bills that like with no proof from Coned throughout our time there. Management is very slow in responding and fixing common area’s issues. One month when I had issue with a payment, they charged a late fee $50, along with other random fees totaling up to ~$125. Their payment service (Entrata) also randomly charged my card 2-3 times after that for $25 each time, without my permission, and these charges do not appear on their portal either - this was...
