Teriyaki One Japanese Grill (Teriyaki & Sushi) — Restaurant in New York

The purpose of this review is not to hate or harm this restaurant in any way, shape, or form. That being said, I hope you take this review as an informative review.

Atmosphere: So, this place moves as a fast food restaurant, but improved. You can see it and sense it. They are pretty organized. I like the fact that they know the cultural diversity the area has. Their background music is diverse, for different ethnicities.

Service: I think service is the only reason why this review has 4 stars. However, I don't want to make it seem like service was terrible. I just couldn't hear the cashier because of her mask and some language barrier. The volume of the music could have also been a factor when I tried to listen to her. Besides that, everything was good.

Food: So far, I have tried the chicken teriyaki, dumplings, salmon sushi roll, crab sushi roll, salmon bowl, and spring rolls. I like all of them, but I really like the bowls and a few of their sushi rolls.

Price: Honestly, their prices are fair. Most importantly, the quality and flavors do compensate...

It was my first time there. I ordered one teriyaki special. I forgot exact amount but the cost was around 9.69$ dollars. I already separated 2$ from my pocket to give tips .

And i gave her 20$ now my return amount should be 10.31$ dollars now the front old lady gave me full amount but she gave too much change so that customer will compelled to give tips.

On there register we can clearly see alot of 10$ and 5$ bills but she gave 5$ plus 3$ and rest 2 $ she gave me penny , dime and nickle.

She thought like she is oversmart. She might be think no one carry penny or no one keep penny and nickle so when they put all those changes to the tips box they will get more tips but I know their trick and after that I didn’t give single penny to her.

This is how they make tips. If you have to get 2 $ return, they will not give you 1$ bills but they will give you 2 quarter, 2 dime , 2 nickel and rest of other are pennies.

This restaurant causes odor pollution in the entire building. Even when ur just outside the building, you can smell their cooking and when you enter the building the smell is everywhere… the smell coming from the oil that theyre using is not pleasing to my nose. Every time i go in this building to shop at Target, it gives me headache and triggers my migraine and allergic rhinitis. They never closed their door so the smell is everywhere… i have nothing against you. But please be mindful. Youre causing stress and sickness to people who are allergic to the smell of your cooking. You can close ur door.. keep that smell inside ur restaurant.. disgusting. I feel like im in a third...
