What just happened?! I came in here because for some reason Luigi's was closed on a late Saturday afternoon. Yes, this isn't a slice shop. Honestly, I randomly saw this place out the window of a bus as I was passing by... Crispy thin crust, robust flavorful sauce, thick fresh cheese, fantastic veggie toppings. Reminded me of a New Haven style pizza in terms of size and finish. We also had the Cesar salad to start, and it was perfect. Fresh baby kale, high quality craisins, crunchy walnut bits, and tasty goat cheese nuggets. Don't sleep on this exceptional location! 🙏🏻

Perhaps this experience is due to delivery. Regardless not impressed. The pizza itself did not look appetizing, the calzone was extremely bland. Absolutely 0 flavor! I will say that the dough itself was fresh and was a good dough but my goodness. Lastly, the Cesar salad I paid $15 for which looked like nothing more than a cheap salad bar salad. I should have taken more pictures. Im happy everyone else seemed to have had a better experience. I paid $65 for a margarita pizza (half pepperoni), calzone, and salad. Do yourself a favor and save the cash.

This place is a hidden gem. I'm not sure why it wasn't more packed. The pizza was delicious. It was a perfectly crispy crust and didn't get soggy with all the toppings that we ordered. The cheese was absolutely top quality as well. This is one of the best pizza places I've been to and I make it a point to try a lot. I'd love to go back and just get the plain pizza. I'm sure it's perfect.

This pizzeria is a godsend to the neighborhood. It’s my go to place when friends or family visit. It’s not pretentious and there is never a wait for a table unlike many highly rated pizza places in Brooklyn and their pizza is on the same level as places that have lines waiting around the block. The staff goes above and beyond and is so accommodating- it is small but I had my entire family visit plus a baby in a carriage and they rearranged the restaurant so that everyone fit comfortably including the baby. The ambiance feels so special and unique, it’s such a neat building on the corner facing the green and lush historic Greenwood Cemetery. They have expanded their menu since first opening and now have a wine list, I can’t wait to keep coming and watching them evolve. Astarita has quickly become a...

Excellent service, excellent food. perfect spot for the family, perfect spot for a date, perfect spot if you want to have a few beers (or wine) and a nice pie alone. Glad to have this restaurant in the neighborhood, I will be a frequent customer. I suggest you try the delicious Mr.William, and support a local family business with an amazing staff. The Quattro formagi was also amazing, the Margherita was perfect. If you’re craving desert their Nutella pizza crust pie comes decorated with strawberries and bananas that guarantee deliciousness with every bite. The tiramisu is also to die for. I almost forgot the meatballs are amazing as well. You’ll get 2 large meatballs that could provide you 8 nice size pieces, with some ricotta cheese that just fits so perfectly with it… chefs kiss to this spot...

Came in looking for a quick bite after work. Heard good reviews from this place. Always get food around my work and out of all days decided to give this place a try. Came in looking for a few slices to take home to try. Waited a couple of minutes but no one helped me. Asked one of the staff if they sell slices and he didn’t even look at me , just said no. It was a damn shame because the pizzas were coming out and looked decent. I would have brought a pie to try at home but the staff were not friendly or welcoming at all. Looked like they judge on appearances. Have never came across a pizza place in park slope or sunset that made me feel like that way . What a...
