Whoever is reading this. You wonât believe the truth about this gym and how disgusting it is! I went here March 2025 and never came back since March. My first few classes here were very nice as I was met with plenty of nice students. During my time in this gym, plenty of instructors were nice and one of them was very rude. Letâs start with the gym and how it is cleaned. The owner of the gym is very cheap and he hardly ever runs the air condition as well as not cleaning the mats properly. Keep in mind that the mat is very dirty and black dust gets under your foot as the owner probably only uses water to clean it (this is how you can get a serious case of fungus or ringworm). To address the absence of not using an air condition (in high degree weather), it is very likely that you can get a heat stroke or a very bad headache from this place. It isnât always true that you can get a heatstroke from dehydration, but from the actual heat itself. Also, the owner does not spray this place with any air freshener and it smells horrible. I understand that a gym shouldnât have the best smell but it should be kept neat and not smell like a taco bell bathroom. There are also cracks in the ceiling as it probably has not been renovated since around the time itâs been made. Next letâs talk about the worst class of all. I wonât recommend taking the grappling class because the first time I went, the coach had a very bad attitude and he jokes about the mistakes of other students and making them feel bad.
I understand that the gym and coaches have good intentions, but this place is not managed in the right way. The only positives in this gym is probably doing the Muay Thai and Boxing class with the nice coaches and also having people who just started training to be friends with you. But otherwise, this gym needs to be looked at and be better managed in helping their place grow for future students. Lastly, I donât hold any grudges against this gym or hate anyone in this gym, but this is personal experience and how i saw this gym. So if I offended you, then I am deeply sorry. But I truly thank ASSG for this time in this...
Read moreWent there for one first free session and I never went back again. I told the trainer I am here to see the gym and properly sign up. He was rude when he talked and gave instructions, but I said to myself thatâs how most of the boxing trainers are. I have experience in boxing, but mostly I am self-taught, so I wanted to have training with a boxing trainer to fix any bad habits. At first, he had issues with me wherever I stoodâI just wanted to warm up. Then he started coaching a sparring session. I am watching and learning while I am shadowboxing and then started on the bags. All this time, he didnât do anything other than keep making me uncomfortable. âDonât use this bag, use the other one. Donât stand hereâwork there.â I thought maybe it was because I didnât pay for the session to see the gym. Finally, he decided to hold the pads for me for three or four minutes. The first thing he said was, âOh wow, you have a bad hook.â I told him that all I learned was from YouTube, so I want to fix it. This is why I am here. Then he started smiling when I threw a hook. Bro, I am in a boxing gym for what? Obviously, to train and learnânot to be laughed at. Then he left me, and I heard him talking to the whole sparring team about it in a sarcastic way. When the sparring team finished, he asked me in a rude way to leave because âweâre closing.â The sparring team was still in the change room; they still needed a lot of time to leave, but I was asked to leave first. I usually do 50 push-ups at the end of the workout; he didnât let meâhe asked me to stop. Iâve visited so many gyms since I was a kid until now (I am 30 years old), but I was never treated like that. For a few months, I debated whether to write this review or not, as I see they have 5 stars. I didnât want to ruin it, but I finally decided to do it. By the way, the next day, I went to the âSweatboxâ gym a few blocks from this gym. One of the most respectful and amazing trainers works there. I had a very good experience with them. I stayed with them for 6 months, and I...
Read moreI have been going to Ardonâs Sweet Science Gym for over a year now and my progress has been great. I could tell by my first day that every coach has a passion for martial arts. You can feel in the atmosphere that the coaches want everyone that enters their gym doors to improve. I started going to the gym as a total beginner and Coach Ardon and his team took their time to help me learn the basics at my own pace.
The gym has an old school, hard work atmosphere which I genuinely enjoy. Every time I enter the gym, I know Iâm about to be pushed and leave better than when I entered. This type of training conditions not only your body but also your mind, which makes the experience of training with coach Ardon and his coaches that much more rewarding.
The community of those that attends the classes are also very kind, helpful, and understanding. Those around you want you to improve and will always share their feedback if they see it necessary. Everyone always shows a willingness to work with new people and grow with one another, regardless of individuals skill level or goals.
I highly recommend Ardon Sweet Science Gym to anyone looking to learn martial arts from passionate, knowledgeable coaches in a...
