I'll keep it simple: you have to get this if you're ever in NYC. It's affordable (about $8 for a platter with extra sauce, which they sometimes don't charge for, depending on their mood) and delicious. The red hot sauce is VERY spicy if you don't normally add hot sauce to everything. The white sauce is tangy and delicious - buy more than you think you need. You can buy as much sauce as your heart desires, it's packaged and has their logo and everything. The lines are daunting, but the service is quick and efficient, and they have a whole assembly system going so you won't be waiting long at all. Don't get off the line, ignore the rude drunks, and it will be worth it and there's almost always a line, even at 4am. Rule of thumb: if there's a line for something in NYC, there's a delicious reward waiting at the front. They are now a franchise, I believe, and they have a storefront on 14th street between 1st and 2nd aves. The cart is slightly better and way cheaper - the prices inside the store are almost double that of the cart. Either one is fine, the taste is almost exactly the same. I've probably had the chicken platter over 50 times and I don't know a single person who doesn't like their food.

On their "we are different" slogan: I think the difference between this and other Halal carts in NYC is the fact that they use higher quality meat and theirs is not greasy at all. Also, they don't add peppers or onions to their dish. I prefer the peppers and onions, but this place serves way more delicious food than all the other Halal carts in NYC. A...

"The Halal Guys" is a popular fast-food chain in New York City that serves Middle Eastern cuisine, primarily gyro and chicken platters, over rice or in a wrap. Located at 6th Avenue & W 53rd St in Manhattan, this place is known for its delicious and authentic Halal food.

One of the most praised aspects of "The Halal Guys" is their super fast service. Customers often mention how quickly their orders are prepared, making it a perfect spot for a quick and convenient meal on the go. Additionally, their portions are quite generous, making it an excellent value for the money spent.

Many customers also rave about their gyros, which are considered by some to be the best in New York City. The meat is tender, juicy, and full of flavor, and the accompanying toppings such as lettuce, tomato, and white sauce, are fresh and complement the meat perfectly.

However, some do mention that "The Halal Guys" can be slightly on the pricey side compared to other fast-food restaurants in the area. Despite this, the vast majority of customers highly recommend this place, suggesting that it is a must-try for anyone visiting Manhattan.

In summary, if you're looking for a quick and delicious meal in Manhattan, "The Halal Guys" is definitely worth a visit. Their awesome gyro and super-fast service make it a popular spot for locals and tourists alike. Although it may be slightly on the pricey side, it's worth it for the quality and quantity of food...

Recently during my trip to NYC, I had visited, ‘The Halal Guys' yellow food cart, in Manhattan, New York, which is an iconic destination that lives up to its reputation. Renowned for their flavorful halal dishes, the menu features a combination of grilled chicken or gyro meat, rice, and salad, complemented by their famous white and hot sauces. Tried their famous gyro, a standout item on their menu, had delicious flavors and with the generous portions satisfying hunger. Despite the typical wait of half an hour to an hour, the experience seems well worth it. The efficient service is noteworthy, considering the high demand for their delectable offerings. The staff manages the long queues effectively, ensuring that customers receive their orders promptly. The wait time becomes a testament to the food's popularity, adding an element of anticipation to the overall experience. The awesome experience of eating The Halal Guys lies not only in the quality of their food but also in the unique atmosphere created by the bustling street scene of Manhattan. The food cart has become a cultural landmark, drawing locals and tourists alike to savor the mouthwatering gyro and other offerings. Overall, the Halal Guys food cart in Manhattan delivers not just a meal but an experience, blending exceptional taste, efficient service, and the vibrant energy of the city into a memorable experience.
