I can't give this place my business anymore. As times change, kombucha and kale chips are as ubiquitous as coke and pringles. The staff in here are never nice to ME. I've seen them be nice to other people..but never to me. Pretty sure my money is the same as the person in front of me on line. I stood on line waiting to be acknowledged as one guy was on the phone and then another person opens and takes the person BEHIND me. So I'm done. A Matter of Health isn't much further, it has a great selection, and the staff is always friendly...to everyone.
I like this store because it's a health store option that is on the path to work for me. It has a lot of the packaged items that I like (sunflower seed butter, caramel corn rice cakes, Ezekiel bread). They also have extensive items for my hair (oils, butters, organic shampoos). They don't have as much fruit as I would like, but I normally go in for specific items. I tried their vegan macro bento box recently, and was surprised by how much food I got for 5 dollars. It was also well seasoned and satisfying (and I'm not vegan..I went in with no...
Read moreI’ve come to this shop a number of times over the last 6 months. On multiple occasions the staff have purposefully tried to knock into me or graze my legs with their sharp, metal dollies and carts. There’s no “excuse me” or a heads up. They just expect you to have eyes behind your head in the very narrow isles of this shop. On multiple occasions I have been knocked into. On top of all that the people working here are aggressive, rude and give dirty looks. It’s really not a welcoming place. Without any exaggeration, today I felt that the people working really had a personal issue with me, despite me being pleasant, polite and normal! I don’t understand. I think the bottom line is you don’t spend 100’s of dollars at shops that don’t value your business or promote a safe space. Also to note: there’s a whole foods, trader joes and multiple other reliable markets within 5 minutes...
Read moreLove this place! The produce is so fresh and reasonably priced. I’ve never had a mealy tomato or sad carrot from here. It’s consistently top quality and always organic. I’m here 3 days a week easily. They carry top brands and the owners genuinely care about health and their customers. They carefully select non toxic products and are always happy to help. There is an adorable little kitty that roams the aisles. They also offer organic and non toxic beauty products- from lotions to shampoos and makeup! They a juice and smoothie bar as well. They have good sales from time to time on things from extra virgin olive oil to vitamins. They have lots of gluten and dairy free options. They also have a large selection of fresh nuts. It’s always a peaceful shopping experience and it’s never crowded and overwhelming like every other grocery store in the neighborhood. You will not be...
