The customer service here is EXTREMELY poor! I come here all the time and you would think that being a regular the bare minimum would be expected but NOPE!!
The Spanish lady who takes the orders is nice and actually has customer service skills. The first guy who is usually on the grill early in the morning is pretty good too. He's quick, makes your food as requested with no complaints BUT THE 2ND GRILL GUY ALWAYS HAS AN ATTITUDE!! You can see it in his face. He always looks SOOOO MISERABLE, as if he's being forced to work. GOD FORBID you correct him on a mistake, not only does he not apologize he will ARGUE with you as if YOU did something wrong! I once told him to put the guacamole that goes in the sandwich last instead of on top of the food while it's the grill? (because who wants HOT guacamole?!) and he literally argued with me back and forth in front of customers claiming that I'm always complaining. OF COURSE BECAUSE HE/THEY are ALWAYS F#*KING UP!! I had to inform him that if I'm paying MY MONEY I will get my food as I please not the inconsistent and incorrect way he feels I should accept. Bare in mind I'm often getting food for my coworker. I once asked before ordering if they have beef sausage and is it prepare on the same grill as the bacon because my coworker doesn't eat bacon. I was told the sausage was fried. I placed the order only for the 2nd mean mugging grill guy to take it out of the frier AND PLACE IT ON THE GRILL WITH THE BACON!!! I swear he does this on purpose then has the audacity to say I always have a complaint as if that's acceptable!! He's miserable, petty and vindictive. Idk know how he's kept his job.
The other short little guy with the braces ALWAYS FORGETS SOMETHING OR GETS YOUR ORDER WRONG! Wheat bread instead of white, no sauce, no receipt, forgot the coffee or other items...I can go on and on. I once watched him drench a slice of bread with butter, then throw that slice out and tried to replace the one slice with wheat bread. Had I not been watching him there would have been one slice of wheat and one slice of white bread. How does he know the person didn't have a wheat allergy?! Who does that?! In just one trip this man forgot to give me my receipt, I walk to block away and had to return. I leave., get two and a half blocks away, he forgot my cake. I walk BACK again. I get to walk my cappuccino spill all over my bag. That I had to hurry up and wash while I was at work. I tell him the next time I see him. He tells me it fell from the top. No accountability! Then proceeds to say "what do you want me to do about it?" LOL Keep in mind I also had coffee but that didn't spill. I get tea all the time from the Spanish lady which is served in the same cup and never had a problem!
The manager seems pretty cool but he really needs to get some of his staff together because it will affect his business. If you are going to go, go early and let the Spanish lady take your order. Also, I only get breakfast. The lunch and dinner is...
Read moreTheir salads suck. I got their "Tio Pio" salad, which game with avocado, chicken, broccoli, a boiled egg, and bacon strips on top of romaine lettuce. Sounds awesome right? Well, everything was unchopped, and when I asked for the broccoli to be chopped--you know, so it's easier to eat--he picks up a piece and shows it to me saying, "the broccoli isn't that big". Mind you, these are standard sized broccoli pieces... Like the ones you'll find in most Chinese restaurants.
The chicken breast was just that, a big intact whole chicken breast plopped on top of the lettuce, requiring you to cut it with the plastic knife they give you. Bacon strips were the same, unchopped and normal strips you would make yourself if you were cooking bacon. Same exact thing with the avocado... Funnily enough, they managed to chop the boiled egg they gave you, while leaving everything else entirely intact... Needless to say, I found this incredible.
The salad was just a chore to eat, and lazily crafted. It was essentially a bunch of ingredients on a plate. If you're into that, then you'll love it here, but if you're expecting anything remotely closely to an actual chopped salad, you won't find it here. A salad with a side of manual labor basically, since you'll be doing a lot of cutting chicken. Fun :)
The one redeeming quality is that they give you a lot of food for $8. But with that same $8, you can go to your grocery store and buy the ingredients yourself and lay them out on a plate same...
Read moreThis morning I went in for breakfast. Asked for my breakfast sandwich. I asked the cook to please change gloves after watching him wipe his mouth and drink coffee. Hoping he did he then prepared my food. After cooking, he then hands my sandwich over for another employee to close and cut in half. Meanwhile, the employee had just taken a cash purchase and I did not witness him changing his gloves in between taking money and handling my sandwich as I stood watching. He claims to have changed them, but once again I'm standing and watching the whole time. So, I said I will wait for another to be prepared. The cook then prepared my sandwich handed to a different worker whom was also cooking to close my sandwich. I feel that the cook should have completed the preparation for what he started. Anyway, the cook proceeds to tell me that he will not prepare a second sandwich if it happens next time. I then said that is why I asked him assuming one person handles what's prepared. I feel it should be normal practice to change gloves in between transactions. I work as a Nurse and for the DOH. Those are my thoughts and that will be my last time eating at this establishment. I will be sure to advise anyone I know of my experience. The customer has a right to request specific services as one may not know another's status or health concerns.
