I give this a one star as of NOW because of the following: long story short I’ve ordered from this place for two years almost every single week because I loved their food so much. Within this year, my order has been getting messed up almost every week I ordered. I’ve been extremely patient, something was forgotten. (Soda, Paid sauces, one sushi order, utensils) It got to a point where before I ended my phone call with them, I ask them to please remember everything. Today was my breaking point. I only have 30 minutes of lunch, so I am always sure to order just as they open. (Since, it takes more than an hour just for my food to come here from 12 minutes away) Once again, they forgot my soda (I have no beverage here and obviously going to the store will kill my time) so I try to call them so they can fix their mistake. They will NEVER answer your phone call once they see the number calling. EVER. I have pages of evidence of how many times I’ve tried to call them and not just from today. So, what did I do today? I had to pay an entire Lyft cab just to go and pick up my drink that I PAID FOR and upon entering a girl with short hair and piercings gives me an attitude and says “we didn’t need your business anyway” when I had asked them to delete my information from their system because I was done going there. (I gave zero attitude and said please before anything.) Really classy and professional guys, from someone who ALWAYS tips $4-$5 with EVERY order I’ve placed out of respect of service and that’s how I get treated? Food is amazing but customer service will be a 0.
EDIT: 07/13/2022 Order. This is only right to do, I decided to give them another chance and had cravings for THEIR sushi. I was given a simple apology which is all I really needed in the first place for the inconvenience and an acknowledgement of the situations above. I appreciate the fact that they did not decide to be petty and decided to handle it appropriately. Something as small as that and I am happy. We all make mistakes and that is okay. I will be going back to them once again and making it my go-to orders for lunch once again. Communication definitely has gotten...
Read moreI have been ordering from them quite awhile because of their great food and service. But today when I got my delivery order they made a little mistake and so I called them up. The boss say they will come back with it. I told them save the trip for next time. Then I found out they didn't give me chopsticks. So I really needed them to take a trip back. When I called and explained to the boss, he flipped out and say (I don't want your business no more) I'm really sorry for his business that he lost a superb loyal customer. Not only that. I have been advertise to everyone about how great his restaurant was. Not anymore. I ripped up all the menus. See what the boss have to say....
Response from the owner: Dear Hap, deeply sorry for your bad experience, I will pay more attention to customer service, we truly don't want to lose you, can you give us another chance?
HAP: I don't mind giving Ikura Sushi another chance. The food is great. But please give me some time to adjust to the situation. Hopefully I...
Read morePretty good. Nice cheap Japanese place with good sushi, which is the most important part. Lunch specials are only 6-9 bucks and are solid. Not tons of seating space, but whatever; the decor is better than some other budget Japanese places. Bubble tea & fried ice cream are both good for dessert. Friendly staff.
The one asterisk I'll mention is that they charge for hot tea, and you get teabag-made tea. Who does this?! I'd be fine with one or the other (teabag tea for free, or charging for fancy-shmancy pot tea), but ick, just stick to water and/or bubble...
