So we bought a travel zoo voucher and went for brunch on a Sunday. When we arrived there was no one in the front. We waited about 4 mins before we actually saw someone. We were seated and offered some water. No one introduced themselves through the whole process. The restaurant was cool, and the atmosphere was chill. It was not a busy afternoon at all. There were only 4 groups in total in the whole place. We waited about 10 minutes before a young lady came over and we showed her our voucher and told her what we wanted. THEY HAD NO CHICKEN AND NO STEAK! It was not okay because my friend only eats chicken. Anyway we adjusted and I got a burger and she got French toast. We waited 45 mins for our food....did I mention it was not busy. The pastry basket was very sad, and no one checked on us after we got the mimosas. A gentle man came over to say sorry there was no chicken 2 mins before the food came out. The burger was salty, I ate it because I was hungry. My friend said her French toast was good. We waited long in general for everything, the food, the bill, the service. Really had to rethink the tipping but she did leave a tip anyway.

Solid 4.5 here. When are they going to allow half-points? Excellent cocktails variety. Indulge if you must. First time here at the UrbanCoveSociety (is this related to the Guernsey Literary & Potato Peel Pie Society?), drawn by the promise of good branzino and real tablecloths 🙄, part of the 33 Seaport Hotel. Quietish early on a Sat evening. The decor could use a hand, me thinks, but great low-key music. The branzino (European seabass) came fileted (not whole per pictures) and did not disappoint! Was so impressed I forgot photo... maybe it was the cognac... Intriguing lemon chili dressing, supported graciously by oodles of garlic in my spinach side order. Recommended. Last but not least, the banana bread pudding was a bit firmer than my dessert fork grip expected, but matched well by excellent caramel ice cream so overall very good.

I was here for my birthday with my family. Even though I used a gropon coupon for a dinner for four, everything was perfect. I didn't feel neglected by the staff because I had a coupon, on the contrary, I even received a compliment from the establishment in honor of my birthday. Suzanne made my time in this cafe unforgettable for me, if it weren't for her everything would have been different. The food and especially the drinks were great. Overall, I received better service than anywhere else, and for that I am very grateful to this place and personally to Suzanne! Thank you for a wonderful experience 🫂❤️

A group of us came for Sunday brunch. We regretted it almost immediately. Took 15 minutes for the coffee to arrive and it was room temperature, there were two servers but only one of them had any sense of urgency at all. There were a handful of smaller tables there but it was in no way packed. We ordered our food at 1:35pm. When it still hadn’t arrived at 2:30, we asked for the manager. He was not the least bit apologetic, gave us an attitude for daring to ask where our food was and offered nothing to explain the wait. When the food did start arriving (over 10 minutes later) the server brought it out 1 plate at a time (there were 10 of us). Within 15 minutes 9 of us had our food. The last one served had to wait an additional 10 minutes. She had ordered chicken and waffles. The manager explained that it took so long because they only have 1 waffle maker! Pro tip: if you only have 1 waffle maker, DO NOT PUT WAFFLES ON THE BRUNCH MENU!

The food was edible but nothing to write home about. My eggs were warm but not hot and had clearly been sitting under a heat lamp for a while. Anytime we needed anything we had to flag a server down. There were a total of five tables there the entire time.

I work in the service industry. This is NYC, if you cannot manage to get brunch service out within an hour, you should close. If you are having issues in the kitchen and food will take awhile… be apologetic, offer a round of drinks or dessert. The name of the game in the restaurant industry is repeat business. This manager is an amateur, he clearly hasn’t learned that yet.

If you value your time and taste buds, you will...

This place sounds so promising but everything was a fail starting from the print menu. The print almost went off the page. Bad sign #1. Not sure where they got the photos posted on their review or site but what we ordered was nothing like it. The Fluke appetizer was so fishy and not fresh and the garnish was even stale looking. It was soaked in sweet sour syrup. It was so embarrassing. Then we ordered the Tin bread w fig and ricotta cheese. This should of came first but it didn't come until after the entree after reminding the waiter a few times. Bread was burn toast w butter. No ricotta and no figs. We ordered 1 burger and 1 chicken sandwich. I guess the burger was good but the fried chicken was bland and worth than what you can get at any fast food. Plus it wasn't made like how it was described on their menu.

Such disappointment bc the place looks cute and it's in a hotel. Spend almost 70 for horrible food. I feel bad for the waiter there as he knows how bad the kitchen is....

I really hope it's just a really bad night and the chef was not there bc the person in the kitchen clearly does not know what they are doing. Manager wasn't on...
