If I were able to give 0 stars I would. I searched this bar online google and thought it would be cool to go with my boyfriend. What I thought was an open-mic/performance night in the back room was actually being used for a political fundraiser. That was fine — we stayed and listened — but when my boyfriend asked a polite, respectful question, several people in the crowd started yelling aggressive and antisemitic things at us. It became very uncomfortable, and instead of calming things down, the staff asked US to leave. We felt completely disrespected and unsafe. I’m sharing this because everyone deserves to be treated decently, no matter their background or beliefs. I'd been to this spot in its previous incarnations and had some underwhelming experiences (to say nothing of former owners' obnoxious reputations).
