I came here for lunch once, ordered the traditional Duck Vermicelli, was pleasantly surprised by the amount of duck and fried tofu for the price. Sadly this still doesn’t compare to the real Duck Vermicelli I grew up eating in China. Since they leave the skin on the duck and also do not premarinate the duck, the flavor profile is just very greasy but not very salty.
I stopped by for dinner a second time to try other menu items. The Spicy Beef Dry Pot was a very pleasant experience! I ordered a small, and the portion size is enough for 2 people to share. The platter is huge and comes with a medley of vegetables along with thin slices of beef brisket marinated in hot chili oil and other spices. I loved the lotus root. Comes with a bowl of white rice! Food here is cheap and great. It honestly is one of the cheaper places to each in Flushing.
I love the $4 dumplings. It's pretty basic, nothing that puts it over the top, however I really enjoy their soup dumplings. It's not fancy, but it certainly hits the spot.
The lack of space and the dingyness of the place is off putting for some people but I'm more simplistic and less about aesthetics.
