We had arrived in new jersey via the airport and we're tired. We came to the hotel which is hotel 2 suites. Both myself and my wife were hungry, as we had not eaten in quite a few hours due to traveling. The front desk person recommended, as we were hungry and it was late, we call pizza 2000. We went ahead and got to the room, and reviewed the menu provided from the front office and called Pizza 2000 at 12:41 am. The gentleman answered, we placed an order for a medium pizza with toppings of mushrooms and chicken, with providing the room number within the hotel. The gentleman on the other end of the line, informed that the pizza will be done in 14 minutes. One note here is that we wanted to pay with a credit card over the phone, however the gentleman stated that once the delivery driver arrived, he would take payment. The approximate price of the pizza would be $14 or $15 dollars. We stated thank you and disconnected the call. We finished unpacking and situating ourselves in the room and by the time we knew it the clock showed 1:36 am. We looked at each other and wondered where the pizza was. We again called Pizza 2000 and requested an update with the pizza. The same gentleman stated that the pizza is on the way with the driver. We thanked him and disconnected the line. At around 2:15 am, no pizza had arrived and both myself and my wife went to bed hungry without anything to eat. This would normally be the end, however the following morning, a few hours later, I went to the front desk and explained what had occured above to the same front desk person prior to him leaving. He stated he would follow up with Pizza 2000. Fast forward to the evening when we returned to Home 2 suites from a henna get together. The same person from the night before welcomed both myself and my wife back. He then informed that he had personally contacted Pizza 2000 and was told I am a liar. I requested we contact Pizza 2000 together on speakerphone. We contacted Pizza 2000 and spoke to the same gentleman from previous. I apologized to the gentleman and informed no pizza was delivered to my room and reconfirmed the location and room number. The gentleman informed that a delivery had occured the previous evening and if I did not want to order something to hang up the line. The front desk, then called Pizza 2000 and informed that this was extremely bad customer service and to hear the person out at the very least. I then received a call from the delivery driver of Pizza 2000 informing myself if I would like to "run the tape and that I am a liar. I came to the location, delivered pizza, you paid. I can describe you and what you were wearing. You are a liar" The gentleman then disconnected the line. I walked up to the front desk and explained to the phone call I received from Pizza 2000 and showed the call log. The same front desk person called Pizza 2000 and spoke to them, then disconnected line. The front desk person kindly apologized for the inconvenience. I informed the front desk that this is not your fault and I appreciate the empathy and...
Read moreThese guys are absolute scammers. My flight got canceled, so United Airlines put me up at the Crowne Plaza Hotel. The hotel had a menu in the room with clearly listed prices. When I checked in, the lady at the front desk asked if I wanted to order anything. I hesitated, but she recommended their fried chicken, saying it was very good. I figured I’d give it a try and ordered the fried chicken and a brownie. According to the menu, the total should’ve been around $15–16. But when I ordered, she told me it would be around $21. I didn’t argue, assuming maybe the menu was outdated.
She also mentioned that the restaurant accepts United Airlines meal vouchers, so I decided to use those for payment. The food was delivered extremely late. When the delivery guy arrived, he asked for my vouchers — which were basically $30 prepaid cards — scanned the QR codes, and did something on his phone. Once he was done, I asked how much balance was left. He casually said, “Nothing. That’s how these vouchers work. You can’t use them again.”
At that point, it was clear what was going on: he wiped out the entire $30 voucher for a $21 meal and kept the rest. They’re scamming passengers whose flights get canceled and who end up ordering food through the hotel, taking advantage of people in a stressful situation. Absolutely...
Read moreAfter reading prior reviews (just now), I can add myself to the list of people who were hung up on. I ordered a pizza and soft drink through Grub Hub. Wait time 1 hour. I checked the order tracker and it said they had started on my order. After more than an hour I checked the order tracker and it said my order has been cancelled. My phone number was clearly included in the notes, so I called to find out why they hadn't called to tell me they'd cancelled the order. The man who answered asked for my address. I gave it to him and asked why they had cancelled the order. He said, "We don't have enough delivery drivers." I asked why they hadn't called me. He said the same thing. I said, yes, I understood that, but I had checked the order tracker and it said you had started on the order, so why was it cancelled? His tone changed completely and he said, "We are closed," and then hung up on me. To add insult to injury, the order was cancelled and it states by Grub Hub they are refunding my money, and it will take up to 5 days to process. This was the one and ONLY time I have ever ordered from this place and it won't...
