Made reservations online for a smoking room, got there to check in & was told no smoking rooms were available. Noticed the lobby was quite an eyesore with lack of interior furniture & decorations. No coffee or signs of any type beverages and they do not offer breakfast. SO I accepted my room & left the office & drove around to locate my room, noticing only 3 cars in the entire parking car.I finally located my room #244...top floor & at the end of building towards the back. I unloaded my luggage, climbed 2 flights of stairs & down the long stairwell to my room & noticed no security cameras available & tried my room key but it didn't work. Looked for motel staff for assistance but unable to see anyone in hallways so I headed back down 2 flights of stairs & reloaded my luggage in the car to drive back to the front office. I walked in to the office, told the young lady dressed in hoody I couldn't get into my room, that I heard a click when I swiped my room key & the light was green but the door would not open. She said, " Oh yeah that room you have to lift upward on the door handle. I asked her why she knew this at check in but didn't inform me, that it's a long walk up stairs & down the stairwell for guest to not know this & have to come all the way back to the office. Asked if I couldget a room on bottom floor cause I was worn out for working the night before & from driving. She said no I gave you what I had. Told her there were only 3 cars in the whole parking lot surely she had something else and she said no. So I told her to just cancel my reservation that I would go to Holiday Inn behind them. So she did my refund & proceeded to tell me my funds would not go back on my card for 5 to 7 days. I was livid...very upset & told her I wouldn't be able to go to another hotel if they tied up my funds for 5 to 7 days. Very coldly asked do you want a room or not...so I told her I had no choice but to stay there cause they had my funds tied up. So I head back to room 244 up the 2 flights of stairs & down the long stairwell & get inside my room and almost fell as soon as I stepped inside the door. They had mopped with Murphys oil soap or wax & the floors were so slippery. I sat my luggage down & proceeded to turn on the lights over the bed & almost fell a second time from the slippery floors. So I had to take my socks & shoes off which gave me more grip on the floors to walk. One I got the lights on, I noticed cigarette burns on the bedding...but yet this was a non smoking room. Turned on the AC, took a shower & left to go shopping. Returned to my room 3 hours later and there's water all over the floors.I called the office & the young lady acted like she was already aware & said she was on her way up to move me to another room....Wow! So I was moved a couple doors down to room 238, atleast the floors were safe & no cigarette burns in the bedding. But the remote wouldn't work to turn up the volume or change channels. So had to go back down the 2 flights of stairs & drive to the office & was given new batteries for the remote. I return to my room but the remote still would not work on the TV so I gave up. Also they do not furnish coffee makers, blow dryers or iron/ironing boards in the rooms which is a first I've ever seen for a motel. I do not recommend anyone staying here...very...
Read moreI had a Facebook friend reserve this room for us for 6 days honestly it's better than sleeping in our truck but definitely not worth $90 a night. They made her reserve it threw Expedia because it wasn't for her so I don't know what she paid I just know what it costs me now to extend. We just got here and there is holes in the wall, I better not be charged later. They made me sign a wavier for my cats which is weird but I Don't care because I will clean before I leave. The bathroom floor was/is dirty especially behind the door. Some weird dude tried to get in my room as soon as we got here saying he purchased this room from a person that said there was one more night. We got rid of him haven't seen him since. The mini fridge doesn't cool charged the settings can't figure out how to make it cool properly. Haven't tried the microwave yet just got here a few hours ago. There is only a couple outlets in weird spots taken up by all their appliances so no where to charge my phone other than the bathroom right next to the sink I don't like that. Someone here before me smoked weed in this room because the open toilet paper smelled like weed and I found an intense stick hanging out of the wall at check in. You can see on the floor board that this place does have mold they just paint over it at least it doesn't have a bad snell of mold because of the paint that covers most of it. The living space floors were also dirty I actually haven't used the sheets I'm afraid to look honestly I just laid on top and used my own blankets. There is rooms here with 3 or more children which makes it kinda loud and it's 8pm now hopefully they don't stay loud all night my husband has ro get up at 3am to work a 10 hour shift. With all the damage, problems and everything else it's not worth $100 a night it's only worth $50 at most. I just looked up at the smoke detector while writing this review there is a weird bag over it not sure what's that for never seen that before. The bar of soap in the bathroom was open and placed back in the package that's nasty glad I brought my own soap, towels and blankets because this place isn't clean. All day while we moved in staff was staring at us that's kinda creepy didn't make me feel safe just made me feel weird as I wasn't doing anything wrong. I will post pictures of when I first arrived and me and my friend better not get charged for this pre existing damage. I noticed appliances laying all around the property so they know these fridges and ac's don't really cool properly. Like I said this is better than my truck where we were but definitely not worth the price but since I'm not from Georgia and had/have no where to go I will have to make this work sadly just not happily. Haven't seen roaches yet hopefully I don't as the reviews do say they have them. The phone has an blinking red light that will prevent me from sleeping at night so I will have to unplug that tonight not a problem we have cell phones and never use land lines. If anything else happens I will update. Oh as I went to attach the photos I seen the picture I took and remembered the bathroom sink faucet was also broken on arrival as the picture shows. I was gonna attach the screenshot of the reservation as proof we stayed here but I can't seem to attach a screenshot only...
Read moreHAD SOMEONE COME INTO MY ROOM IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT. We were woken up by someone coming through our door at 10:30 pm. The only thing that stopped him from fully entering was us yelling at him to get out. It turns out that the man rented our room a couple days prior with his family and thought that he would get the same room. I went to talk to the manager in the morning asking why someone had a key to our room. Manager stated that it was our fault because there is no way someone else would have a key and we mustve left the door open. I asked for a refund for that night but the manager kept blaming me and told us we could leave if we dont feel safe. We ended up talking to the family and they stated that because they thought they would get the same room they asked the night guy for another key and WITHOUT CHECKING ID they gave them a key to OUR ROOM. we called corporate to make a formal complaint and an hour later, the manager called and stated that we would get a full refund but would have to vacate the property with not apology or anything. So you can stay here if you want people having access...
