Newer hotel that was quickly put together and it shows. This is quite long with a few updates.
5.7.24 Update - We will definitely NOT be coming back to this hotel. In the previous update I mentioned housekeeping was an absolute joke. Well, that stands true still.
I HIGHLY RECOMMEND ASKING FOR NEW BEDDING DURING YOUR CHECK IN! If you don’t care about old sheets not being changed from the previous persons stay then don’t ask but if you want to ensure your sheets are changed, get them and change them yourself.
Also, check all of your towels as well. Some have horrific stains and stink as if they weren’t even washed.
Certain staff members up front are completely clueless (no situational awareness at all) when you walk up because they’re on their phone or have their head down on the desk sleeping and you literally have to ring the bell.
It’s hilarious how they go to Walmart to buy most of their foods to put in the lobby and resell for a way higher profit margin than it should be. So extremely recommend walking or driving (if you can) to Walmart to buy your own groceries (and get a reusable bag if you’re walking)
The elevator smells disgusting and the carpet traps all those smells especially when a nasty smelling animal comes in and out frequently.
I hope whoever reads this and checks in has a better experience than me. Be safe out there!
3.28.24 Update - Housekeeping is a complete joke. You’ll be lucky if they even come at all on a scheduled day. If they do come, they pick and choose what they clean. They have a high turn over at this hotel in general.
Mitch the maintenance guy is amazing! He comes out quickly to fix what needs fixing and is always friendly no matter how stressed he actually looks.
Eden at the front desk is an absolute angel and has given us the best customer experience. She’s the best and I stand on that! She’s made the stay better even with all the negativity here.
3.12.24 Update - The gym has been closed for almost four weeks now for “not being ready to use” even though I’ve used it multiple times and never had an issue. There’s no sign up saying it’s closed but your key card won’t allow access.
To be paying as much money, ALL amenities should have been ready prior to opening the doors…..
Positives - some of the staff is absolutely amazing and friendly. I love that the gym and laundry are open 24 hours. The laundry room has multiple washers and dryers (unlike others); the fitness room is right next to the laundry room with a window so when washing clothes you can go right next door and workout while you wait. It’s the perfect set up on that. The outside grill is a nice touch with the hanging lights. Plenty of parking and in a great location near the shopping centers and interstate. Plenty of snack and food to buy via charge to room or card.
Great prices in the area and of course the longer you stay, the more discount you get! Just read T&C for points if you’re a member!
The rooms its self are spacious and set up nicely. The kcup machine is a good touch along with the mini toaster & two function hot plate stove. The fridge is a great size as well.
Negatives - Inside the room, they have barn doors to the bathroom. The idea is good but not practical here. There is a gap and you can see inside the bathroom still. No sense of privacy and can’t lock it either. It’s okay if you are alone. The tub is way too high to step into and if someone can’t get their leg up high enough, it’s gona be a problem. I almost fell the first night using it. There should be some type of helping bar on the...
Read moreThe rooms here are spacious & kept clean. Mattress & pillow protectors are standard in every room. The cleaning staff is amazing & always working! The location is quiet and feels safe even late at night. The parking lot is well lit, with multiple cameras. I have seen police patrol the lot at night, which adds to the feeling of safety. Eden at the front desk has been very pleasant in EVERY interaction.
Sadly, their Assistant GM, Calay Noles has terrible customer service. She has been extremely stale towards my family & I during our stay. She will greet other guests but when I or my family walk past she remains silent. After completing a transaction at the front desk she doesn’t say thank you (unless I thank her for doing her JOB first) or give a pleasant farewell. The swivel chair in our room was broken (a screw kept falling out) & my husband requested a replacement, as I’m 7months pregnant & it would be a big issue if I or our toddler fell due to the faulty chair. After not receiving a new chair for hours my husband called the front again & Calay informed him that the maintenance person had left for the day & it wouldn’t be replaced until the next day. For some reason she didn’t feel it was necessary to call back and let us know we wouldn’t be receiving the chair until the next day at the soonest. That seemed a bit lazy of the AGM to not want to walk less than 30ft to bring us a working SAFE chair. Not to mention she was working the very slow overnight shift. When we still hadn’t received the replacement chair the next afternoon, we called again & we were told there was still no one available to bring a chair. Either my husband or I do business with her daily as we pay for our room daily, yet every time we approach the counter, she acts as if she has no clue who we are or why we are at the desk. This is after we discussed with her the exact time that we would be at the front desk to make our payments. When we first arrived we had no issues with our key card working (when Eden or another staff member activated them). Ever since our first interaction with Calay, our key card gets deactivated daily at different times throughout the day, causing us to have to walk to the front to get new keys made multiple times a day. Finally I asked her why our keys were continuously being deactivated, she told me that they automatically deactivated every day at 11am (typical checkout time). I then asked her why my keys kept being deactivated throughout the day (9am, 3am, 11pm, etc) & she just stared at me with no answer and shrugged her shoulders. Knowing that she is deactivating our key daily, she still doesn’t offer to make a new key when I’m at the front desk paying for our night. I have to specifically ask her to make a new one. She could definitely use a refresher course on customer service & how to...
Read moreAt check in you didn’t have reservation. I had a confirmation stating I did. Your clerk put us in a room the same as we booked.
The room was very warm. We adjusted thermostat to 67 and AC never turned on. We told the clerk on our way out Thursday evening and he said maintenance man left for the day.
Next morning I tried to make coffee and room had 1 mug. Played with AC and it came on when set at 61. When we left for breakfast Friday morning we asked for another mug and I broke a glass in our room and asked for a replacement with another mug. Told clerk to cancel the ac request. Returned to room Friday night and no mug or glass in room. I went to front desk and asked for a mug and 2 coffee K cups to replace the ones used that morning. He gave me 3 Choice Kcups, as you had NO Folgers K Cups and he could find a mug for me. He gave us a styrofoam cup to use.
I used the Choice Kcup and the foil top popped off and sent 1/2 the grounds into the mug. It was undrinkable.
Upon checking out, clerk told us they had a mug and replacement glass at the front desk for us sitting there all day. Nobody said the mug and glass would be at front desk.
While explaining the above, your frond desk clerk interrupted me and said she was sorry for our bad experience.
Sorry? Too many hotels that do a better job. I don’t plan to return to any of your hotels in the...
