To the Honorable Proprietors of Pig N Pancake,
Greetings and salutations from Sir Sean, knight errant and humble servant of chivalry. It is with great pleasure that I recount my recent visit to your esteemed establishment, Pig N Pancake, which provided much-needed succor to myself and my noble family after a long and wearisome journey.
Upon crossing the threshold of your fine abode, we were met with a warmth and hospitality that one might only expect in the grandest of halls. The hearth’s glow and the welcoming demeanor of your staff were as a balm to our travel-weary spirits.
We were seated at a stout, wooden table, and it was not long before we were presented with a veritable feast. The pancakes, oh, what divine creation! They were as golden as the sun itself, fluffy and light, and each bite was a heavenly delight. It was clear that great care and skill had been applied in their making, rivaling the finest fare from any royal kitchen.
However, it is with a knight's honesty that I must speak of the hash browns. Though their promise was great, they arrived unevenly cooked. Some pieces were as crisp and firm as a knight’s armor, while others were soft and yielding like a maiden’s touch. This inconsistency, though minor, did not escape our notice.
Moreover, while the nectar provided to quench our thirst was indeed refreshing, the vessels were somewhat modest in their size. A more generous portion would have been most welcome, especially after a journey as arduous as ours.
Despite these small matters, the overall experience at Pig N Pancake was nothing short of delightful. The service was exemplary, the atmosphere warm and inviting, and the pancakes truly the stuff of legend. My family and I left your establishment with full bellies and high spirits, well-prepared to face the challenges of the day ahead.
I extend my gratitude for the splendid hospitality and the wonderful meal. Know that your establishment shall be remembered fondly in our chronicles and recommended to fellow travelers seeking a fine start to their day.

Read moreThe food was amazing! But the waitress we had was extremely rude to us. To sum it up she was really nice to every table but ours for literally no reason. I ordered a strawberry milkshake for my sister because she’s 14 and doesn’t order food on her own. The waitress literally said “no she doesn’t want it” and I responded with “yes she does. She just doesn’t like to order on her own” then I got an eye roll for the waitress. Also, when my sister ordered her food she wanted “over hard eggs” and said it was “well done eggs” the waitress responded with “well I don't know what you mean. Do you want them scrabbled” but in a very rude manner not in a kind way. Then I ordered a hot chocolate because I don’t like coffee (I’m 21 yrs old not a child) well my baby brother had a cup of whip cream at the table and she argued with me that the cup of whip cream was my hot chocolate. Then when she finally understood that it wasn’t she walked off with an attitude like always. Came back with a kids hot chocolate that was freezing cold so I didn’t even drink it. Then we waited an hour and half for our food she never stopped and checked on us or anything during that time she’d just walk past our table. Finally when the food came out she started being nice because we talked to the manager about her behavior. Customer service with that waitress was zero stars. She was extremely rude and had the worse attitude the whole time. I don’t like to bring race into it but she was very rude to us and others that were not white. I’ve never in my life felt so disrespected by someone. I hope the restaurant fires her or she changes her attitude towards brown people. The cooks were amazing and so was the manager. After we talked to the manager the waitress started being nice for the last part...
Read moreOur server was amazing. When we came in, another patron was giving our server a bad time.
And yet when she reached our table, she was smiling and calm. We got such a warm and wonderful vibe.
I ordered the Crab Benedict. Not a cheap dish. Nice crab. Decent hollandaise. One egg hard cooked, the other so runny it could have been over easy.
But the hash browns were just ... Horrible. I tried two bites (in case the first wasn't a fair representation.)
Sadly, the second bite was even worse. Old cold pasty potatoes and grease. I made a face and my wife thought I was being dramatic.
Until she tried her own hash browns. And made a similar face.
To be fair, my wife said her steak and egg were okay. And honestly the sourdough toast she ordered was one of the best things we got.
We didn't want our server to suffer hearing again how bad the food was so she cleared my barely touched plate, we thanked her and tipped her well. After all, it's not her fault the food wasn't good.
But if that's how food came out after a previous customer's (noisy) complaint, that kitchen staff either didn't listen, didn't care or both.
Should we have complained? Yeah. I know that we should've. Given them the chance to fix it?
But we were on our first getaway in a couple of years, headed to the aquarium and we didn't want to start our morning by complaining.
Either way, I dropped $50 + tip on breakfast for two and the Pig N Pancake became a running joke for the rest of...
