We got sat immediately; the whole menu is available for order at any point of the day. Our waitress was very kind and was comedic as well. The coffee was hot and fresh and there was plenty of creamer and sugar at the table. Everyone also got water in addition to their ordered drinks, which is a thing we always love. I got a clam chowder appetizer, and the cup was filled to the brim with chowder. It was thick, creamy, and rather delightful. I wish I got bigger / more potatoes in it though. The food came out very quickly.. hot and fresh and all at the same time. I got the patty melt and it was delicious! Nice and cheesy, the patty was a pinkish medium, and the thousand island sauce was definitely hommeade and tasty. The rye bread was nice and crisp, yet very soft. The onion rings were very basic though, and the onion strings would come out with one bite which was a minus. My wife's berry Swedish pancake was light, crispy and delicious. Everyone liked their meals, and the portions were satisfactory for the price. Pancakes were nice and fluffy and the butter they serve is whipped so it's easily spreadable.. A great little touch to a traditional breakfast topping. Overall, a great experience and we'll be back next time we go to Newport!

We had a great time, the food was delicious and our servers were great! Our first server was named Nikki, she was delightful, very kind and helpful, got us a lot of extra whipped cream for free. If you get Nikki double your tips!! Our second server we got when Nikki went on break, Mikey, he was very friendly and attentive, he stayed on top of our drinks and did a great job! We got two sides of hash browns and they were really cook, nicely cooked. I got the pecan waffle and was a little hesitant but I actually really liked it, it was well cooked, slightly crispy without being overdone and the pecans added a good texture to it. I added butter and syrup and it paired well. My sister got the strawberry waffle, I tried some of the topping and it tasted like jam but still had a decent amount of strawberry pieces in it, very sweet and delicious. My mom got the blueberry pancakes and describes them as binge worthy, she and my sister both loved the blueberry topping and my mom would recommend getting whipped cream with it. We also all found the kids cups and straws ADORABLE! It's been a few years since we were here and it did not disappoint.

My partner and I both have had longtime traditions where we eat at Pig 'N Pancake every time we'd gone to the coast with our families, and Friday was our first time doing so together during a trip to the coast. We were closest to the Newport location, which was conveniently placed downtown in the old City Hall center, making it rather large and interesting. The interior had a cute little gift shop, where the two of us bought shirts to show our love for this restaurant. The place definitely has an old-fashioned family diner feeling, and has a lot of breakfast and lunch specials to offer for great prices. Comfort food at its best. We would highly recommend the pancakes and the waffles, both with the special marionberry syrup, though there's so much to choose from in the menu and it is hard to go wrong with anything. Service was fast and friendly. You can be that we will plan to come back, and we will be talking about this place whenever we get the chance (as well as showing our love with the shirts).

The restraunt was very crowded so the wait to get seated was long. Normally a sign of a good place. Service was great, but the food was sub par. The pancakes got hard within 5 minutes and the bacon was over done. The eggs were flat and tasteless. Maybe they are being rushed, maybe not. I don't know. Would I give them another shot? Sure. Never judge a new place by only one visit. They do have a kids menu and adults can order from it. I am use to much different meal combinations and normally enjoy a big breakfast, however, it was getting expensive to keep adding items to my plate to create that kind of meal. If you have the chance give them a try and see how you like it. Maybe it will be a better fit for you then it was for me.

What an extreme disappointment. We stopped here around noon on a Monday. Having visited many Pig n' Pancakes before, we were looking forward to a delicious meal. What we received was the complete opposite. I ordered the crab omelet. My crab 🦀 tasted like it had just been emptied from a can and thrown into some eggs. The hash browns tasted like plain frozen hash brown potatoes from a bag. They had no seasoning and no flavor.. For an $18 meal, it was HORRIBLE! My companion was served his breakfast and his poached egg was loaded with shells remaining. When we complained, they shrugged and said it couldn't be helped when preparing eggs. What? I don't recommend this restaurant. Keep heading down 101 and go somewhere else!

Great restaurant in Newport! If you love breakfast, then you'll definitely find something you like here. Great selection of pancakes, eggs, and other standard fare. My wife ordered pancakes and sausage as did I, but due to celiac mine was the gluten-free variety. I was in heaven! Gluten-free pancakes can really vary but they have a great recipe. Everything was very good and the atmosphere was perfect as a bright family gathering place. The sun was quite bright that day and I was happy that the pull string for the blinds was put in reach of customers so I could remedy it. Our server was friendly and helpful and made us feel welcome. I will definitely go again when I'm on the coast.
