Normally when visiting a town, I can never find good coffee. I did today at Coasties Roasties. I had ordered an orange mocha and it was fabulous. When looking in their case of goodies by the register, I also appreciated them because there were gluten free, vegan, and gluten free vegan options (that did not sacrifice flavor or texture) and were also pretty great. To top it off, the staff was very nice and cared about the coffee they were making. This is all around a great place to get a coffee and a sweet treat.
Went back the day after and my orange mocha was the perfect balance blend of both sweet and bitter finished with the creaminess of coconut milk. It was good the day before, but today was a perfect balance (hard to find in a coffee place). My partner and I also learned they are able to make items off menu to tailor to food allergy needs. This is very appreciated since I have an egg and gluten allergy making it difficult to find stuff to eat while traveling let alone a good meal. This place is great, eat here.
Update: Went back 1 year later and found it bought out by a new owner. Big disappointment in the quality, it was one of the worst cups of coffee I've had. It was so disappointing because this was one of my favorite coffee...
Read moreWe were staying nearby and popped in for some breakfast. The person working the front was not very welcoming. She barely smiled or acknowledged us coming in the door. She was busy cleaning the counter and refilling some pastries. It was our first time there, and we thought we maybe missed "a way of doing something." Finally, my husband had to tell her that we were ready to order. We ordered two drip coffees, a bagel sandwich, and a burrito. It took a little longer than normal to get our food. This did give us plenty of time to observe the same girl do the same thing to person after person. It was not a friendly environment to walk into. After waiting almost 20+ minutes we took our food back to our hotel. There wasn't much room to sit in this place or even wait for our order. However, the food was absolutely delicious. And I would go as far as to say it was worth the wait. Just don't expect to make a quick stop if you are ordering any type of food. However, again, I will say it is worth the wait to get one of...
Read moreFirst time here was last year, and ever since it's been a part of my daily life, even though I live over 1k miles away.
Coasties roasties is a memorable, sweet place that I'll always make time for when I'm in the area. It's such a cute small place with the sweetest people! It made such an impression on my boyfriend and I that it's almost an inside joke in a sort of way.
This place has such a fun name, and that's what sparked this inside joke of sorts. So fun that I'll often, and randomly, say "Coooooasty Roasties!" Which sparks a chain event of me and my boyfriend saying "coasty roasties " even if one of us is on the other side of the house. A years passed and we're still at it. Even though we live in Phoenix, this place still has a hold on us and makes us smile and laugh at each other lol
Every time we're in the area we make sure to stop in to honor our inside joke/chant/saying that we can't get out of our heads.
"Coooooastie...
