Horrible service! My fiancé, myself and his parents traveled 5 hours from Michigan to Pittsburgh. With it being late at night around 11:30pm-12:00am we were tired and hungry so we found this mc Donald's near our hotel. We ordered our food and once we pulled up to the first window to pay we were not greeted very politely. My fiancé tried paying with a $100 dollar bill (which all he had in cash was $100s) the cashier told us they no longer accept $100 dollar bills. Ok no problem at all considering there were four of us and we all had forms of payment (credit cards, cash). The cashier quickly slams the window closed and turns her back towards us not even giving us a chance to pay a different way. We sat there for about two mins which she still had her back towards us. My fiancé tried yelling to get her attention, that didn't work. He then started honking his horn which she still stood there with her back towards us. Finally a manager comes to the window. We explained to him what happened and he just says sorry. While the female employee cashier is standing next to him. My fiancé looked at her and asked her is that how she treats customers and she just laughs, rolls her eyes and said things under her breathe. Her manager turns to her and asks her to stop! We couldn't believe such behavior. This was not only our first time in Pittsburgh but our first stop after a 5 hour drive. That is the way we are greeted in Pittsburgh? Oh and besides the service the food tasted horrible, fries were cold and old. Good thing we don't live near by because this will never be our go to...
Read moreI visited this McDonald's on Wed., Jan. 16th hoping to "run in" for an iced coffee, cheeseburger and small fry. The drive thru line was long, but no one was inside, so I went in. There was one gentleman in front of me. He placed his order and the girl who took his order left the register and went over and looked like she was waiting for his food instead of taking my order. She came back a few minutes later, took my order and left before taking my money. The manager was on break eating and kept having to tell another worker, Danielle, ( I know this because she said her name at least 8 times) to get back to work because she was too involved in a conversation instead of waiting on customers and came up and finished my transaction then sat back down. Clearly annoyed with her staff, the manager eventually left her break to help at the counter. Although she was extremely nice, she continued to complain how she can't ever get a break and eat when there is only one manager on duty. I didn't need to hear all that. This was THE MOST inefficient McDonald's I've ever stepped foot in. For a cheeseburger, fry, and iced coffee, the entire process was 20 minutes. It's FAST food. Not "grow old while I wait for the staff to get it...
Read moreThe worst service at McDonald’s ever was at the Smithfield location, downtown pittsburgh where they would literally throw the bags of food at you. This place comes very close!
The customer service was non existent. Several customers would walk in and leave because there was no one taking their order. I had to yell to get service.
I ordered a fillet o fish and a quarter pounder. It was the best fillet I ever had. But that did not make up for the dingy, dirty dining room and the lack of customer service. They hand you the bag and walk away, no receipt or anything.
My fiancé got a crispy chicken sandwich. Which she thought tasted odd. She gave me a bite and I quickly determined that it was a spicy chicken sandwich, but worst of all the lettuce tasted like CIGGARETTES. She was so tired we did not even bother complaining, not that we could because there is no one at the register. Also there was no mayo on the premises… how does McDonald’s run out of mayo? I have been to some bad McDonald’s nation wide. But this is the new...
