We were looking for a nice breakfast place near our hotel that would be accommodating to families. From the outside, Jersey Joe's looked like the perfect place, with waffles and pancakes for the kids in a comfortable atmosphere. I cannot provide any feedback on the quality of the food, because we did not receive any food, which is essentially the problem. The waitress took our order and promised to put the food order in right away while she brought our drinks because the kids said they were hungry. 20 minutes later, she was nowhere to be found. Eventually, when she surfaced we kindly put up our hand to gesture for her attention. We then called out for her multiple times as she ignored the first several "excuse me" and "hi" .and another waitress apologized that the order had not been submitted. The second server promised it would be no more than 5 to 10 minutes for our eggs and waffles (which obviously do not take very long to cook.). Another 10 minutes passed with still no food when we saw our first waitress, who tried to ignored us as we flagged her until we called her more loudly, and she came over to our table. She seemed blissfully oblivious as we asked her once again to check on our food as it had been well over 40 minutes at that point. Minutes later she came back out from the kitchen, but did not come to us with any update. We had to call to her again to ask if she was going to provide us with an update. Once again, we received the blank, oblivious stare as if she had no clue that there was anything at issue and she said it would be another 10 minutes. I found it very curious that all of the white customers who came in after us had their food, and some had already left at this point, while my mixed race family still waited to be served, or even treated as people. Seeing that she had absolutely no respect for us as customers, we got up and walked out at that point, completely frustrated, and went to The Jellyfish Café instead, which had lovely service and a wonderful tasting breakfast. We definitely recommend going...
Read moreThe good- Service was good! Eggs were cooked right. Food was hot. The bad- for a place that has waffles in the name- they need to have better syrup, syrup tasted like nothing and was just left in squeeze bottles on tables. The "famous" chicken and waffles was terrible, three little chicken tenders on an average waffle. The bagels were not good bagels. They were like the cheap bagels of bread shaped like a bagel. The French toast my daughter got was the best meal of the 6 items we got. They were out of their homemade chipped beef by the time we got there (10am) so I didn't get to try it. Overall... I would not go back. You can tell the owner is cutting costs by not buying quality product and yet prices are on the higher end...
Read moreWe had to wait to get seated 10 minutes turned into 23 minutes. Waitress got out drinks and then came back to take our order. The pancakes were fluffy and delicious. The eggs had cheese put in tip and the eggs were not hot enough to melt the cheese. The bacon was cooked perfectly and tasted delicious. The toast had a huge glob of butter thrown in the middle and I will be posting a pic. The waitress said she would be back with my sausage. She never came back until she brought us the bill and when I asked for a box she said oh I’ll get your sausage. She brought the sausage with my box. The atmosphere is nice and light and airy but I...
