Alas, fair diners, beware, for at Kimberly’s in the town of Wildwood, my experience was naught but sorrow and vexation. The morning sun had just begun to rise when I entered, seeking nourishment, yet found myself vexed by a service most foul.
Molly, the servant who did attend us, seemed as though she had little care for her charge. Her manner was cold, her visage stern, and 'twas as if she did not wish to serve. The warmth of hospitality was sorely lacking, and a certain disdain for her task did hang about her like a heavy mist.
In addition to her lack of courtesy, the service was as slow as the passing of time itself, though the diner stood empty and quiet. We waited long and with great patience, yet our meal came at a pace most deliberate.
The breakfast, which should have been a simple joy, was instead a grievous trial. The eggs, meant to be cooked with care, were as raw as the uncooked dough of a baker’s misfortune. Many items were forgotten, leaving us with half of what we ordered, while the orange juice, a drink that should have been cool and refreshing, arrived warm, as if the sun itself had poured it forth.
Alas, I leave this place with a heart heavy, not with the pleasure of a good meal, but with the bitter taste of disappointment. I would advise others to seek their fare elsewhere, for Kimberly’s is not the place for a repast of joy, nor a service...
Read moreI ordered the French Toast Deluxe, and let me just say… it was out of this world. Perfectly golden, slightly crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, with just the right amount of powdered sugar and cinnamon and sweetness. The toast was thick and fluffy without being too heavy, and it came piled high with fresh fruit, a dusting of powdered sugar, and the dreamiest whipped cream. Paired with maple syrup that tasted like it came straight from a sugarhouse, every bite felt like comfort and indulgence rolled into one. This dish alone is worth coming back for again and again.
But what truly elevated the whole experience was our server, Keegan. From the moment we sat down, Keegan was friendly, welcoming, and super attentive without ever being overbearing. He made us feel like regulars, even though it was our first time there. His recommendations were spot on, and he had this genuine energy that made the whole meal even more enjoyable. You can tell he really cares about the customers and takes pride in his work.
The vibe of Kimberly’s is warm and inviting—casual but cozy, with a local charm that makes you want to stay a little longer. Between the incredible food and the top-tier service, this place absolutely deserves every one of its five stars.
Highly, highly recommend. I’ll...
Read moreWent for their early bird dinner special and it was definitely worth it. The menu was limited, but very reasonably priced and all of the options on it looked good. From what we did order, it was good, very very good. The bang bang shrimp is a must! The sauce definitely had a kick to it, and we even wound up dipping our fries in it too since we liked it so much!
Our group got the shrimp scampi, the fillet mignon sandwich, and the penne pasta. Everything was so delicious! All of the portion sizes were just enough, and didn't leave you feeling overly full like diner food usually does, which was a good thing considering all their deserts for the month of August....are $1 each. I paid $1 and for a slice of the best pie I have ever had in my life. Banana peanut butter pie certainly sounds odd but this pie was the highlight of everything I ate on my vacation. I can get ice cream every other block in Wildwood but banana peanut butter pie is something I can only get here.
I can't say anything about their breakfast since I've only ever had dinner here, but they sure get 5 stars from me...
